Exactly what i needed! Sturdy and classy, it looks like something i would have bought from a big name furniture store for a lot more money. After i added a seat cushion and pillows, it was the perfect addition to my living room!

We love this bench! It was easy for my husband to put together himself (I only assisted on a couple steps to make it easier but he really didn't need me). It is smaller than we originally wanted but we knew that when we ordered it. We love the storage aspect. Being in Texas, we have "winter" off and on for about two months and then back to early summer and then "I think I'm cooking alive" summer so we now have our scarves, mittens, hats, and any other cold weather gear stored inside it. We have a built in mud room off the garage entrance so this bench is for our friends/family to remove boots and shoes or leave diaper bags, etc. The bench easily held my husband who is 6'4", 290 lbs so the weight limit is great! I would highly recommend this bench! On the plus side, if I ever get tired of it being in the entryway, it will work great in the kids room to hold toys and whatnot.

Assembled the unit easily and it is very sturdy using quality materials. As another reviewer wrote (I should have paid more attention), the bench is smaller than expected. Length and depth are good; however, the seat is low to the ground for an adult ... only 16.5" high. Lid for storage area does not open fully; the hinges allow about 1/2 way only. Ordered a flat bench cushion (don't order a tufted one because it will be too puffy) to protect the seat and to give some height. In the end, it suits my purposes in the mudroom. Recommended for quality and design but be aware of the actual size.

Haven’t written a review for a while, but after receiving this bench, I had to write about it.This is probably the nicest piece of furniture I’ve bought online for the price. Incredibly impressive packaging, with absolutely no damage in transit. The instructions are clear as day… and the hardware bag is organized so well with individual baggies for each part which are labeled. They even added an extra bag which contained one extra of everything in case you lose a piece. Super thoughtful.As far as the bench is concerned, this looks like a craftsman made it. Even the faint pleasant smell of a high-end wood stain when you open the box. The sizing of the unit is appropriate and has just enough amount of space for storage.If you’re thinking about purchasing this, stop thinking and go for it. Again, I’m so impressed. Well done guys. Well done.

I was not given all of the screws needed to put my bench together, called Simpli Home numerous times and was told they were out of stock with no ETA for restock, they told me I had to go buy the screws MYSELF, they don't stand by their product. Purchased through Amazon and they gave no support with this issue, told me I had to contact Simpli Home. Would not recommend buying from Simpli Home, they did not send all materials required to put their items together.

It went together fairly easily and the instructions were better than most. We knew the dimensions before we bought it but even so once it was assembled it looks kind of like those little, antique, salesman models you sometimes see on Antique Roadshow. It's functional and cute but kind of toylike

Looks great and is very sturdy

I purchased this for my foyer and it is the perfect size. I need to sit down to put my shoes on and I'm always balancing myself, so I was so happy to find something that would fit. I love the storage under the seat. I have decorative pillows on top too and it looks so nice. This was easy to assemble. It arrived in perfect condition and there was no damage during transit. The color is a dark espresso. It's super sturdy and very manageable. I'm also very confident sitting on it with all my weight! I'm very happy with this.
