Great
I bought this because I was advised to use a mat under my rolling office chair on my vinyl plank floors. It looks great, seems very sturdy, and my chair rolls nicely.

Looks good. Thin yet durable.
It came rolled as it said it would for the size I ordered. Unrolled it and put it under the desk and it was flat immediately.

Since arrival works as advertised!
Bought the below:Marvelux Heavy Duty Polycarbonate Office Chair Mat for Hardwood Floors 36" x 48" | Transparent Hard Floor Protector with Lip | Pack of 2Both came in a flat packing as noted in the description. No odor or type of smell to the plastic once opened. With it being poly based, it's ridge and feels strong.I have these directly on real hardwood flooring and have no issues with slippage or slipping once on it. Bought this type of chair mat so that discoloration doesn't occur (but will have to see over time as it's recommended to have it cleaned and moved once a year!). Each side has either a rougher or flat side. There is a sticker that helps to denote what side is used for what (rough up if it's on hardwood flooring vs carpet).Sizing is alittle smaller then denoted and are rounded but for my use case, that doesn't matter as much to me but wanted to mention if does to anyone else.

46x51 ships rolled up, but flattens IMMEDIATELY
Instructions in the box were confusing. Gave instructions for how to unroll and weight down for their vinyl product. But instructions attached to the rolled up mat said the PVC won't stay rolled and be careful when you cut the binding tape cause it will flatten immediately. Well, it flattened immediately and the caution was justified cause it spring open and could have taken someone out if they aren't careful. After buying an Amazon basics mat that hadn't budged from rolled up shipment after 48 hours in the sun and weighted, I was delighted that this was ready to use right out of the box.I have it on laminate and it is somewhat frosted so not 100% clear. Also it does slide around but I weighted it down with my desk and it is perfect. Can't speak to durability or longevity but it's thick and hard material and I don't foresee it allowing any damage.

Strong hard textured plastic, great for hardwood floors
I can't review how well it'll work for other surfaces, but it's good for HARDWOOD FLOORS.Before I comment, it's worthwhile talking about chair mat requirements. What you REALLY WANT from a chair mat IF you have HW FLOORS:- Smooth mat underside for more floor grip- Some weight to the mat so it doesn't slide around- Lie flat so it doesn't slide around- Material that is chemically inert- A textured top surface that provides tactile feedback (so you know you're still on the mat) and doesn't scratchHow this mat stacks up:- Smooth underside for better grip (CHECK, *I dragged a 4-leg chair w/o wheels on the mat and it DOESN'T move)- Weight (CHECK)- Lie flat (CHECK, shipped flat, not even sure it can be rolled since it's almost hard plastic)- CHEMICALLY INERT (CHECK, polycarbonate, 15 mins and a waste of perfectly good coffee later I've proven stains/spills won't seep from the mat unlike most lousy shoe mats I've bought)- Textured top surface (CHECK, polycarbonate doesn't scratch easily, and texture surface prevents scratches from showing)What you DON'T/SHOULDN'T CARE ABOUT:- Clear finish (this is pointless, you only need to vaguely see the HW floor underneath from afar, and causes a mat to be easily scratched which was a major complaint for other similar products)UPDATE: A new reviewer mentioned their MAT SIZE WASN'T ACCURATE. I just measured mine and it's 35 x 47, an inch shorter than advertised (36 x 48). I won't deduct the rating for now since I don't roll around on the mat (somewhat tight L-shaped desk). But buyers beware.
