I used a safety razor a few years ago, and didn't like it, so I went back to cartridge razors. I don't like the $$$ I have to spend on cartridges, so thought I would give safety razor shaving a go again. Previously, when i switched to safety razor shaving, I continued to use the foam and gel shaving creams from a can. This time I decided to go ahead and order some Proraso shave soap, and a brush.As this is my first experience using a shave soap and brush, I have no prior knowledge or experience to compare this brush to.However, I have gotten the hang of whipping up a lather, the brush loads the soap nicely. It applies it to my face nicely, and is easy to clean. I have found no bristles in my shave soap dish, so I assume none have fallen out. So far I'm satisfied with it, and even though I'm admittedly inexperienced, this brush seems to do the job. Someday I might opt for another brush to try, but I'm very satisfied with this one, and it was one of the cheaper options.

It’s a little softer than what I wanted. I’m fairly new to using a shaving brush and I’ve been using a brush that came with a mug and soap. It was a store bought kit. The brush was much stiffer and it lasted a long time. I didn’t realize they’d be such a big difference between badgers hair and boars hair. Now I’m looking for a stiffer brush that’s made with synthetic bristles and contains no animal parts.

So I definitely like the brush works great but it dose have a pretty strong smell to it other than that its a great brush

Just the right firmness. Good brush especially for the price. Only used for a few days so far so I'll update if there are any quality problems with more use.

Very poor quality. Had for less than a month, used only a few times and is already flattened out. This makes it difficult to make a good lather.

Works okay but loses the bristles too fast.

The brush is not at all soft, was not able to make leather with it plus it was producing a nasty brownish liquid. Gross
