Its super sharp. It functions well, it's easy to fold in but it is abit tricky to fold out. Would of been good if they put a little groove for the fingernail. Otherwise great value for the price I paid. Love the red colour, easily stands out in the drawer. Feels nice and weighty in the hand and oversized.

I've bought two of these ASTONISHINGLY SHARP Swiss Stainless Steel knives to take to cafés to overcome a poor combination of physical disability and standard café blunt cutlery. The description of size is a bit confusing, see my pictures, but I *think* the quoted sizing refers to the blade length but as the tool folds in half then it is twice the size when locked-open. The locking latch requires a simple squeeze sideways at the hinge-end of the blade. The black one I bought is serrated (I knew that before ordering) whereas the red one is a smooth blade (Italian wording to the advert, and I knew I would be recieving a smooth blade). Provided these are carried in a closed bag (I put them in a lunchbox with some other disability cutlery) "with good reason" then they are legal to have "about your person". They would not be legal to carry in a public place just, say, in your pocket. Be very careful if manually washing up, these are *razor sharp* and ideal for cutting cooked meat.

On the plus side : extremely sharp (butter) knife. Well (Swiss) made. On the other hand: I wanted a serrated blade. This one is straight. I speak Italian and I should have noticed that it said “Lama dritta” which means straight blade. Some pictures show a serrated blades though. Now the more … I am fed up going to restaurants and hotels and having to deal with bland (steak) knives. Having a folding knife that definitely cuts through beef or whatever meat was something I always wanted. I got that at home anyway why not let’s say on camping. It is safe to say that this is not an offence knife. It is intended to spread butter and eventually cut through vegetables. My next trip is just a week away. If I am not happy, I will get a different Swiss serrated knife.

Excellent knife, but what else would you expect from Victorinox, right? It is essentially the sane as the non folding ones you can get, but with the extra travel feature, which means it's great to take on holiday (in you checked luggage, obviously) for those time when the apartment knives just don't do it, and let's face, it they are usually as blunt as a weathered brick. I've seen reviews of people complaining they are dangerous. DOH! They're knives. If you don't understand that, then you really shouldn't be let near them on your own. But do be careful because these are very, very sharp and will take off a sizable piece of finger if you're not.

diseño comodo, muy ligero, funciona perfectamente como cuchillo mondador para cocina, ajusta excelentemente bien en la bolsa lateral del brazo izquierdo de las filipinas de cocina, muy seguro, sin riesgo de cortes, unico detalle en contra es la punta redonda, ya que en cocina se requiere en ocaciones pinchar.

Ein besseres Messer für z.B. Camping oder Brotzeit gibt es nicht! - Das aktuell recht helle Rot fällt gut auf im Gepäck oder wenns es mal z.B. ins Gras fällt. - Der Klappmechanismus läuft leicht und die Klinge wird per liner lock sehr gut ver-/entriegelt. - Das Messer (Flachschliff-Variante) ist richtig scharf. - Dünn ausgeschliffene Klinge, die sehr gut nachgeschärft werden kann. - Runde Klingenspitze für Marmelade und Nougatcreme. - Ausgesprochen „stainless“. - Sehr gute Größe, passt zusammengeklappt in jede Brotzeit-Dose. Mit diesem Messer in Kombination mit einem schweizer Offiziersmesser ist man für jeden Urlaub gerüstet! Achtung: einschlägige Waffengesetzgebung in den einzelnen Ländern beachten! Deutschland: Ein besonders böswilliger Beamter könnte z.B. auf die Idee kommen das Gemüsemesser hätte eine feststellbare Klinge und wäre auch mit einer Hand zu öffnen… In Italien nicht mitführen in der Öffentlichkeit… Grandioses Brotzeit-/Campingmesser mit (noch) aktzeptabler Wirtschaftlichkeit- top!

Come si suol dire un nome una garanzia. Coltello fa pic nic di ottima fattura, lineblock veramente ottimo e senza giochi, lama affilatissima e con una curvatura della lama ottima per tagliare gli alimenti, lavato in lavastoviglie (~+75C°, 1h30min) e mai avuto problemi, ne di deformazioni del manico ne ovviamente ruggine dei vari componenti. L'unica pecca se così vogliamo definirla, è che presenta una puntina di grasso trasparente tra linerlock, lama e perno lama, che non so se sia sicuro per gli alimenti, ma ovviamente basta lavarlo accuratamente. Usato per tagliare anche il pane con crosta spedda e nonostante la lama non seghettata, l'ottima affilatura e geometria della lama mi ha permesso di affettare il pane senza sforzo, usato (uso non alimentare) per aprire confezioni in plastica e non ha dato problemi. Veramente un ottimo acquisto. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo
