I just spent $45 for what I suspect is about $2 worth of Oxy-clean.=== The Good Stuff ===* You sort of have to take it on faith that this stuff works. After I mixed up the batch and ran the cleaning cycle on my Miele machine, I had a bit of the solution left over. I poured on the milk container, and it definitely seemed to clean up the milk residue...so I guess that counts as success.* The shipment I received came in about 100 single use little packages. No mess, no fuss. Just open the package into a 5oz of warm water, and let the machine run its cleaning cycle. It doesn't get much easier.* While I strongly suspect that this stuff is nothing more than oxyclean, (it looks and feels identical, and feels the same way on your hands), I have no intention of ruining or voiding the warranty on a very expensive machine to save a few bucks. For all I know it has some secret ingredient that prevents the coffee machine from dissolving into a puddle on my countertop. So I shut up and pay.=== The Not-So-Good Stuff ===* The product is expensive, and at the rate I use the machine and it prompts for cleaning, I have about a 5 year supply. Luckily it is sealed in packets, so it should be OK.=== Summary ===Compared to the cost and hassle factor of messing something up in my $2500 coffee maker, I an not about to take a chance on keeping it clean, or voiding the warranty. I am fairly sure that someone is making a ridiculous amount of profit on this stuff, but that is just the way the coffee bean bounces.

Surprising how well this product works. It effectively cleans the pipes and components of the coffee maker that are exposed to milk. We have the milk pipe connected to a Jura Cool Control and we run the cleaner through both the Jura piping, connections, and coffee maker piping. Effective and fast. While some complain that the product is expensive, it should last you two years . . .

They keep my Miele coffee machines milk pipework clean and sanitary.

Seems to work. Bit expensive.

It does as promised. Not sure how many choices you have. But you will regret paying this much for a cleaning agent but you will be glad to get rid of reminders to clean coffee maker. So you will have that going for you.

Yes it's expensive (but lasts a year), but the combination of these and using the auto-rinse of the milk pipe daily after using works great! Definitely way easier than having to take the milk system apart and soak it like a Jura. I don't think I would use it to make milk drinks nearly as often if I had to do that.
