Was having a hard time removing the hinge pin. This tool made for easy removal.

So handy to have this tool no more dropping oily door pins on the finish floor! This is part of my door hanging tools very well made and not to big or bulky.

This is a handy little tool for a guy like me who, as a carpenter, has to deal with doors fairly often. It looses one star for being a little too pricey for what it is, although it does work exactly as it's supposed to. The drive pin is just a hollow roll pin so it can probably be replaced easily enough if necessary. The other end does a decent job of holding the hinge pin so you don't have to pick it up off the floor. The middle is just a chunk of metal with some knurling, but it works.

My previous hinge puller was made mostly of plastic and eventually broke. I started researching a replacement and found the Marshalltown hinge pen remover and another one that also looked good. I decided on the marshalltown and am glad I did. It is very solid and can take a beating when trying to remove a hinge barrel that doesn’t want to be removed. Theres no signs of wear or potential failure so I really do think it will last a long long time. And it quite easy to use.

The media could not be loaded.  I’ve used other tools and they have failed or broken. This is very robust and has a low enough profile that it’s easier to get the bottom hinge pin out. It will not work with hinges that have a pressed on finial with a tiny hole. The prying end with retainer works great also but not as strong as the rest of the tool. Overall best tool at the best price point I’d pay double for this quality so at $20 it’s a great purchase

I tried others and they don’t all even fit. This one is great and I’m surprised at the “heft” of it. It’s built like a tank.

I tried to open hinges and with all kinds of different tools for days. This was the only product that worked, and it was easy to use. I couldn't believe my eyes when I started to open the pins.

Can't be used as a wedge to pick pins out and the end to pop the pin is extremely fragile. Only compatible with a certain hinge size, and they aren't consistent across most households.

Good quality well made makes removing door pins especially the pins covered in old paint very easy saves a lot of time and frustration. I highly recommend 👌

I was expecting the pin that pushed the hinge pin in or out is only a hollow spit pin. I went back to look at the details in the advertisement and low and behold it’s hollow…The part that will take the most battering is the weakest… how disappointing and a tip … don’t place orders at 9pm !!!!

The roll pin is too short for the tool to be used on many hinges in my home where the hinge pin does not extend to the bottom of the hinge.
