Definitely size up, I bought as a gift for my 4 month old nephew for Christmas (by then he'll be 6 months) he's already in a size 6-9 months so I ordered a 12 month, should fit him, the material isn't too thick or restrictive, colours are nice and bright

I ordered size12-18 months for my 1yr old nephew. When it came it was tiny. On the label it had 06 So i requested a refund and returned the item. So i re-ordered it in a 18-24 months andvwhen it came it didn't appear much bigger than the last set. It fits but it won't last him long and i don't have the time to keep parcelling up and sending stuff back.Personally when ordering order 2 sizes above what you need

Not true to size, trousers have quite tight elastic.
