Madhava Naturally Sweet Organic Blue Agave Low-Glycemic Sweetener, Fair Trade Raw, 46 Ounce

The raw is definitely better than the light or amber in flavor, though all are good. This tastes similar to the amber, but just better. We use it mostly in oatmeal. Can also work in plain black tea and coffee if you don't need a lot of sweet. (It does have a flavor, so if you like your tea and coffee real sweet, you might want to try the light instead. Although I happen to like this flavor in things, it is not neutral, and so it isn't good in everything--for instance, I don't like it in peach tea as it does not compliment peach well in my opinion.) Another thing I've done with this is to mix it 2 parts to one part pure maple syrup and use as pancake syrup. You still get lots of maple flavor (pure maple syrup all on its own is a bit much for me), but it lowers the overall GI. I've only tried a few brands, but Madhava, on their website, claims a GI of 17, which is lower than others I've tried. So if a low GI is priority for you, give this one a try. This size container is the best deal as far as amount of agave for your money. We keep a smaller bottle around and just refill it from this larger bottle. And, yes, as another reviewer notes, this is 46 ounces in weight, not fluid ounces, so I'd say it's a little under 4 cups. This is great agave.

lost of people talk about how bad corn syrup is bad, well sugar is just as bad but we keep using it. I have to say this last longer than sugar and u can hardly taste the difference. does it have an after taste, yes is does; but if you're going to use as a replacement for sugar this is product is great. Is this product process the same way as cord syrup, probably but i don't know that because I don't have the time or money to go check if this is 100% natural. Overall is does the job for me so give it a try and if you dont like it then move, but I personally love it. After purchasing my first bottle to try it out, I did order 3 more just because is that good and it last longer than sugar. Have u ever seen how they process real sugar can, this is almost the same way. Concentrated agave juice enjoy. bye

I chose this brand over others because it is raw. This basically just means that they don't raise the temperature over a certain point, and it helps to keep micro nutrients still alive in the item. I love the taste of it, and the fact that I can buy such a large size since it is my preferred sweetener for my morning coffee. I transfer this into a smaller bottle and keep it on the counter, and it lasts me quite a long time. This brand has quite a few different options for sweetener, even a few different options for agave but this is the one that I prefer. It is a great price for the amount, as well.

I bought the agave nectar to try since it was an ingredient used in a protein smoothie recipe I found using pumpkin. I love pumpkin so I had to try it. Similar to honey really. It's a 64 oz jar which for me will last a long time since I use so little. Not bad. I'm curious how the other agave nectars taste. If there's much of a difference?

I am addicted to Sweet Tea but I know the sugar is horrible for me. So I thought of trying this in my sweet tea and it just wasn't the same. It tasted off. But I put the recommended amount for the amount of sugar I would normally use and it really wasn't sweet for me at all. For the price, I wouldn't be purchasing this again. I'll find other uses but for Sweet Tea - I'll keep searching.

I have never been a fan of substituting 'healthy' for regular ingredients but I am a convert now. Not only is this much better for me (and mine) than processed sugar, it's much tastier too! I'm so impressed.The bottle did leak a bit in shipping - probably due to change in altitude I'm guessing. It lost very little (a tablespoon at most). Still, I will check to see if my local health store has this version if not, I'll just accept the small loss and continue buying this way.I want to tell everyone I know about this, it's such a great find.

arrived with a slightly chipped bottle cap. The cap is not a dispensor flip top unfortunately and it gets quite messy and sticky to poor out of the bottle which could use a re-design top. Otherwise, it tastes good, but next time I will go for real honey that has a better flip cap.

Product is thinner than most honeys but it's sweeter than most. I use less of this honey compared to others. However, it doesn't taste like your typical honey because of the sweetness. The thinner consistency does have advantages. It dissolves quicker in my tea and it mixes easy in recipes.My wife however is not a fan so it does come down to personal preference. She prefers nature nate.
