Instructions say not to use construction adhesive to stick them to a surface.

Probably okay given the right use but didn’t work for me. I folded 3 sections into a triangle surrounding the pole holding my bird feeder to dissuade squirrels. Given the proximity of the pole to my house squirrels were jumping off the house wall onto the pole and then clambering up.With the spikes in place the squirrels jumped onto the spikes and then used them as a ladder up to the feeder!For my situation it might have worked had the spikes been bent down, perhaps at a 45 degree angle. That would tend to make the squirrel landing more problematic and avoided the ladder effect.

Loved how easy this was to install and effective. A couple of times, the spikes got knocked over but that can very easily be fixed by nailing or gluing the spikes to the door arch. I’ve just been too lazy to get a ladder. Very economical, environmentally safe and simple solution to birds hanging out in my porch.

No adhesive to glue to fence and I tried using gorilla construction glue it doesn’t work very well in the cold weather the glue lifted

Easy to install using a drill! We're using this on our fence to keep out cats from destroying our garden and patio which is made of stone and sand.

These do not fold and will not conform to rounded surfaces. We used them to try and keep squirrels away from our bird feeder. They laughed at them and scurried over them like an open road. Did not affect the birds either. See picture. Don't recommend them.

I had issues with critters trying to get into my soffit vents.. I used these on the top of my 6' wooden fence and have not had an issue since..

Squirrels just chew off the spikes. Didn't stop them at all.
