Fits nicely and all buttons work, sound comes thru the same. Only issue is the power button is a little odd to press but not difficult. Holes for the activity lights above the power button would be a nice addition. Im just greatful i was able to snag one of these b4 they stopped making em. All the other ones ive seen look ehh and seem to be a hit or a miss for the right editon of the ds. Also i got some pretty decent sized hands and this fits snug.

What do all the reviewers claiming this doesn't fit have in common? They can't read. *SMDH*Please be aware that the "New" 3DS XL is not the same as the original 3DS XL. They have different dimensions, and products made for one will not fit the other. That's why the product specifies that it is for the "New" one.I've included a picture of a New 3DS XL in the grip with my review. If you're not sure whether you have the old or new model, check the pic, and see if you have the little grey nub pointed out in the image. If your 3DS XL doesn't have this nub, then it isn't "New" and this product won't fit, because it's not supposed to.As for the quality of the product itself:It fits perfectly. The part that rests inside is front of the hinges doesn't sit flush with the plastic, which looks a little ugly. I'm also not sure why they made this color -the *New* 3DS XL wasn't ever made in a red color, so it's never going to match anyone's system. A couple other folks have mentioned this, but the grips don't feel great. It's better than holding the system bare... But not my much. Something about the size and placement of them is JUST enough to be frustrating. The material on this is going to get sticky within a few years -it's a poly blend, and they all do that. So be aware that you might have to break out the Isopropyl alcohol and a lot of elbowgrease 3-5 years from when you put it on. ALastly, the silicone is particularly thin over the hinges... Which makes sense, because you wouldn't be able to open it properly otherwise. But understand that this is going to offer only very minimal protection if the system lands on those hinges.Ultimately, I would recommend this product if you don't take your system out and about often, and just want it to be slightly more comfortable in your hands (or if you're concerned about scuffing it up around your place. If you're looking for good travel protection, get something rigid with better protection than this.

Like: The Dreamgear case fits my New 3ds xl well, it has a soft texture, & it adds grips.Sort of disappointed that it’s not like a Nerf case. I was really hoping this would be the one. The Dreamgear silicone case is flimsy and does not have a hard plastic housing like a Nerf case does.I don’t feel like this case will protect your New 3ds xl if you drop it. The silicone case is very thin over the hinges. This is usually the first thing to break when dropped.I gave this case a 3 out of 5 stars. It is what it is. I added pictures for you to see for yourself.

Knowing that the 3DS was coming to a close and knowing that I didn't have this specific thing. Considering that I had it for my original 3DS XL. I looked it up to see if they had one on Amazon and thankfully this pulled up. Unfortunately I wanted it in blue but really it doesn't matter. It's more for the convenience of holding the system during certain gameplay times. As it makes it a lot thicker and it gives you those legs beneath it. I mean there are things that I guess people can complain about as I've seen them do here. But the reality is whoever designed this did an exceptionally great job in my opinion working with what they had. I recently took it out to a coffee shop. The barista said it looked sick like in a good way you know. I just had to have it in case I couldn't find it again or couldn't find it at all for the 3DS XL new. Just like I still need the dock and I think the docs are extremely high whereas I got the dock for my 3DS XL at a good price.

This really helps a lot. Now I can hold my 3DS for a long time and not worry about hand cramps.

I originally got a cheap version of this product and it was not worth it. I then purchased this model and must say - it’s worth the money. You get what you pay for and this product is wonderful.

Great value for the money. Case fits really well and adds a lot of protection. No issue with functionality. I've played many hours of monster hunter with it. It is not super comfortable to hold for long periods of time though.

Pain the the butt to have to pull the case off to change the games but otherwise it's great!!Fits well and very comfortable in my hands as an adult male and the hands of my 10 year old boy!

Colour is different from pictures. It’s fully red but pictures are kind of orange. Good case so far and charges fine!
