Will it record top and bottom areas in addition to 360??

I haven't used mine yet,  but if you search YouTube for videos of "lg360", you'll see some good examples of how it does top and bottom areas. Basically, the answer seems to be yes it includes some additional top and bottom areas, but it is not full 360 in those directions.

Hi Chris,For the most part, yes, this is a serviceable camera that takes decent photos, and it's also really inexpensive - both here and, if you check the DailySteals website, also $100 (and no tax; I purchased a second one there, and it arrived with no issues). Be sure to get a micro SD card - it doesn't come with one. Also, it comes with the USB-C charging cable, but no actual charger... although pretty much any household anywhere has an abundance of USB chargers now.It works well on a tripod using the phone app (works with Android and iOS), so you can be out of the room when you take the photos (the WiFi range is OK enough to be out of sight, but not too far away or it won't work). Videos are much lower-resolution, but photos are pretty good, especially for web use. However, low-light images aren't great with it, so make sure the lighting is good.Getting images off the camera is easy - you can do so (slowly) via the phone app, or much faster by just taking out the micro SD card and putting it into your computer. YouTube and, I think, Facebook support easy spherical uploads of videos from the camera app, and Google Photos (and, I'm sure, other apps) recognize the spherical photos.For $100, you simply can't go wrong, but if you find you're taking lots of spherical images, be aware that the Ricoh Theta SC (around $300) takes better images (a bit lower resolution, but better quality), and you can spend even more to take even better ones... but, that being said, this works, it's $100, and it'll give you a great idea of whether spherical images are what you want. Be sure to check for the firmware upgrades when yours arrives, as they do add a fair bit of functionality. The Samsung 360 is pricey, works only with Samsung phones, and doesn't, from all the reviews I've read, do a great job of stitching the two image halves together, so I would pass on that one, unless you have a newish Samsung flagship phone, and even then, I'd probably not get it.I suspect that, with each passing year, we'll see better and better spherical cameras (they really need to get to 4K-8K resolution in order for the spherical part to work great, since you need to "wrap" those pixels around the whole sphere, and image quality could be improved). However, getting one of these at this rock-bottom price is a great way to test the waters. I've now got three (well, when the third one arrives today), and I'm using them for 3-D mapping experiments. All 3 cost as much as my single Ricoh Theta S, which itself costs less than most other spherical cameras.- Joe

Is there any accessory for using it on my motorcycle helmet?

It uses the industry-standard 1/4 20 threaded camera pattern for tripods. If your helmet has the threaded screw on it to attach cameras, then this will work.

Is there a max video length? I need to shoot video for over an hour

The video recording length will be limited primarily by the SD card memory. Because it is recording 360 degrees in 2k,  the file size will be rather large for the length of time you are looking to record.Please keep in mind that the camera recording will also be limited by the battery if not connected to an external power source. Various users testing the camera have been successful in recording for over an hour on the battery life alone.
