This was a difficult product to set up. It is supposed to be simple to set up, connect your iOS device via USB to lightning cable and the speaker will connect to the Wi-Fi that your device is connected to. I attempted this 8 times with no success. There was never a pop-up stating to share the iPhone's Wi-Fi. I attempted to call the support line that was on the instructions. It directed me to another RCA phone number. I called that number, and was told to call another company that I have never heard of, to get help. After a frustrating afternoon, I attempted it again, and it finally worked. The speaker worked great for 2 days, and then my iPhone could not find it again. I am petrified to attempt the process again, so I have not used it since.

Sound balance has way too much base. Super old technology, and connecting to wifi with modern iOS doesn’t work, you have to make it broadcast a wifi network, then log into 192.168.1.12 to config. Randomly disconnects from source device.

Originally bought this to play our sleep sounds at night instead of using the phone speaker. But cutting out at 5am is disruptive to sleep and jarred my wife awake. It disconnected a couple times a night despite being next to the router and near the phone so we scrapped that idea.Repurposed it by using it in my shop to play music in the back kitchen. It does the job, it's able to go quite loud. The audio is bass-heavy but not horrible at higher volumes. Still disconnects 1-2 times a day and I have to change the audio-out on my laptop back to AirPlay manually.I bought two of these and they both had the same issue so I'd guess it's not an isolated issue. But they're cheap!

An air play speaker, with good sound and FM radio for 15 dollars

Good device, easy to install but the power supply is only for 110v outlets

Worked fine for 5 months. Then disconnected from wifi and unable to reconnect. Now it doesn't work at all and RCA does not seem to have ANY support for this product. Now, without product support, it is totally useless.

Once I took it apart and isolated the gray plastic cover (which vibrated badly from the speakers) with thick duct tape, the sound was okay. As others have pointed out, the Airplay function doesn’t work in conjunction with newer Airplay speakers, and tuning the radio is very clunky if you listen to different stations spread across the dial. But is you don’t mind tinkering it’s worth the discounted price.
