My 3 year old son sees these engines in person, and the recreation is perfect. It appears durable and well made. Our primary complaint is that the length of this engine limits the type of tracks that it can go on. For example, it cannot handle the hills and bridges of brio tracks. It also has a lot of overhang on tight turns, so if you have a tight turn that leads into a tunnel, the corners of this engine may not clear it.
