40" Adjustable Stainless Steel Hose Clamp with Flex Worm Drive, Quick Release

I purchased this clamp as a replacement for the muffler strap on my 2001 Corolla. The advertisement states that you can get a bulk discount on 5 or more, but doesn't state how to get the discount. It has been a while since I ordered. I think I tried ordering 5, and Amazon showed no discount. So, I settled for 2 clamps. One clamp has been installed on my muffler, and the other I keep in the glove compartment as a spare. With the clamp being stainless, I may never break out the spare. It will probably outlast the exhaust system. As for what's in the box, it is as pictured. The clamp is coiled tightly, with three nylon wire ties (that you cut off) wrapped around it to keep it coiled tightly. I have not cut the nylon ties off my second clamp (easier to store that way), so I cannot measure the length to verify that it is a 40 inches. I'll simply believe the advertising specs. It is big enough to fit my muffler, so I am happy. installation was a bit of a bear, trying to get the two ends together. However, that is because I am laying on the ground, reaching under an automobile, dealing with a hot muffler. So, that is no fault of the clamp. I am sure in other scenarios, it is probably easier to get the clamp together and working. The "worm gear" (screw) is on a pivot. I think this is what they mean by "quick release." In my particular case, I do not want a quick release, as I want it to stay on my muffler forever. It has held for several months, and shows no sign of letting go. Overall, I am pleased with the workmanship, and performance of this clamp. Meriting five stars.

Easy to use. Excellent stainless steel quality. Great feature is the ability to engage the clamp around a tube of large diameter that you can't slide the clamp over, such as a flagpole or a pipe you don't want to cut.

Hard to find these in larger sizes, good quality, strong and a good value.

Snapped at the buckle in moderate wind, do not recommend.

Works perfect on 2006 Chevy/GMC muffler heat shields. Maybe other years also.

Last year I bought a different adjustable hose clamp that pieced together. It worked well but as a heat shield muffler clamp under my Suburban it only lasted one year. The worm screw in the clamp was regular steel and quickly corroded and crumbled from the north east road salt. This giant one pc hose clamp appears to be 100% stainless steel even the worm screw itself, after a quick magnetic test. One pc design also makes feeding it over and around a huge muffler much easier. Seems a lil over priced but the repair was quick and easy. I don't mind paying a lil more for a quality time saving product.

I had a heat shield strap fall off of my 2006 Silverado muffler causing a vibration noise. This fit great and took minutes to install.
