I use these mostly to freeze individual portions of meat and fruit for smoothies. Except for the meat bags, I rinse and reuse them too. They are thicker and hold up well. Occasionally one tears on the end of the zip closure. That could be designed better, but overall my favorite bags for all purposes. I use them to carry clean gloves with me for COVID protection when I'm out and unable to wash my hands to protect them from the harsh hand sanitizers. It's easy to change gloves as needed and wash them when I get home. I use them to store household goods like small hardware as well. And, of course, refrigerated product I have cut open like onions and salad fixings. Everything stays nice and fresh. The size is great compared to the tiny boxes of 20 you get at the store for ridiculously exorbitant prices. A box lasts me about a month or two depending on when I do bulk buys of meats.

As well as the large Fries etc.Have had foods in freezer for 6mos and have had 'no breaking open' whatsoever when shuffling stuff around. If many multiples of an item - ie Mini-carrots/Broccoli Tops/Berries - put into a plastic grocery bag for lifting in and out. We have found so-called 'Freezer organizer baskets' to be a real pain.

I was concerned about buying these because, like some earlier reviewers, I had one bad experience with Ziploc bags. I have a large garden and freeze a lot of food every year. The bad experience was as others described: bags had a rough side edge and leaked air. In that instance, I contacted Ziploc, and they were more than gracious in issuing me coupons for free bags. (Subsequent bags did not have the flaw.) This box of 216 bags has been perfect so far, which is to say I've used about 50 bags and all have sealed and show no signs of any air leakage.I think it was about two years ago that I had the leaky bags - about the same time as other people who complained of them here - and so I feel quite confident that Ziploc has addressed whatever caused the problem. Ziploc is the best freezer bag, in my opinion, and I've been using them for many years. Yes, 5 stars.

I am always running out of Ziploc bags, whether it is for lunches or whatever, there never seems to be enough. So I decided to buy this jumbo pack from Amazon. It really is great. It is a large box with over 200 bags inside. The double zipper is great at keeping things inside the bags. I was used to the single zipper and didn't have any issues but the double zipper just gives you the added security of knowing that whatever you put inside of these bags will stay there. They are very easy to seal. The only thing that I could foresee as a downfall is if you don't have a lot of room in your pantry. The box is a little large and takes up some space. Other than that they are great. The price is also amazing. If you were to purchase the smaller boxes individually from the grocery store then you would spend a lot more. I would definitely recommend these.

I didn't want to use up my bulky containers to put it in the freezer and plus, the portions were exorbitant. What compelled me to make a huge pot of cabbage soup, maybe it was the three heads of cabbage I bought on sale? Who knows. What I ended up with was at least 3-4 gallons of soup. That's a lot even for my soup loving family of three. And one of us is a little tyke so I can't expect him to eat too much. This prompted me to look on the internet for a way to freeze my bounty in easy to reheat portion sizes.Eureka! Ziploc freezer QUART bags. Perfect portion sizes for one very hungry man or one mama and one baby. I put my excess soup in the freezer bags, labeled them, then stuck them in the freezer (flat) until frozen. Then stacked them, neatly, in the freezer. Works great!! And now I don't have to toss away perfectly good soup because we weren't able to finish it all!!Thanks Ziploc!! You saved the day again! :)
