Water can do some damage! Stop it before it gets outta control. These work great and already saved my kitchen floor!!!! My dishwasher started leaking, small leak so wouldnt have noticed before it already saturated my wood floor. A must for any home buyer

I tested this alarm prior to putting it downstairs: was very loud and only took a drop of water. It would be nice if insurance companies accepted this as a water alarm (they do not) but at least I have peace of mind if I have a leak in the middle of the night.

I bought the 5 pack...one for under the kitchen sink...two under bathroom sinks..and two next to the washing machine. I put a paper towel underneath the sensor to increase the area of sensitivity...Very easy to setup,,,Reasonable price.Good for apartments or homes...Its loud ...it is about the same as a smoke alarm..I tested it out and it is very sensitive.They look well built and like i say very easy to setup

This little gadget does what it says it does: it senses water, and it beeps every half a second to alert you when water flows where it shouldn't. The battery must be disengaged to stop the beeping. The beep is loud enough for me to hear from our main floor when it's beeping downstairs in the basement laundry. My home is a 3-bedroom rancher, about 2,000 sq feet; if you live in a very large house, this may not be loud enough.Also, it's old-school in that it doesn't connect to your cell phone or remotely to a computer. The only way you'll know if it's beeping is if you're at home, or if you have a home security system, but then you won't be able to turn it off remotely. The device in my basement alerted me this morning that my laundry tub was overflowing. By the time I got down there, I only had to wet-vac the area for about 10 mins to cleanup; otherwise, it would've taken over 1+ hours to cleanup if the whole laundry tub of water had flowed onto the floor! Once this gadget gets wet, it has to dry for 24 hrs, then reconnect the battery and put it to work again.I recommend this item. I own two (one under the kitchen sink by the dishwasher connection and one downstairs by the laundry tub) but I'm buying another package of alerts today to place around the hot water tank.
