FEL-PRO MS 95812 Fuel Injection Plenum Gasket Set for Buick LeSabre

Just replaced the Lower gasket and Upper (Plenum) manifold and gasket using the Dorman manifold plenum kit. I was not impressed with quality of the Dorman manifold which came with the gasket (red) so I decided to get the Fel-Pro and compare. They looked pretty identical except the Fel-Pro was blue - not red, and the rubber material on the gasket seemed a little softer and slicker (like silicone) than the "free" Dorman gasket, so I decided to use the Fel-Pro gasket. Its a lot of work to replace these, so I figure $36 or so is well worth it for a better gasket. Caution: Check your upper Plenum for warpage. Mine was severely warped (old Dorman part) so I replaced Plenum as well. Also, torqued to spec at 97 inch-lbs or 7.5 ft lbs.

Worked perfectly

Way better than the plenum gasket that comes with any of the aftermarket intake manifolds for the L36 (non-supercharged Series 2) 3800. This piece fits like the General intended, but it's built and seals much better. Working on my project I purchased 2 different intake manifolds, one was junk all around - gasket and manifold; the other had a beautiful manifold and a garbage gasket as well. Amazon had a ridiculous price on this plenum set and Prime shipping rules the day - this got my project back on track and with Fel-Pro's standard of quality I know the job is done right for the long term.

This was exactly what I needed because I was get the P0442 code. I ruled out the purge valve and possibly evap hose leak. Upon checking the intake manifold gasket found it was shot and this was the perfect replacement.

My 2004 Buick Lesabre was leaking oil and coolant from what turned out to be the lower intake manifold gasket (oil), as well as one of the coolant elbows from the "idler assembly" to the Lower Intake Manifold. This gasket had to be replaced because I was not doing all of that work and leaving the old Plenum gaskets in; and of course both coolant elbows were replaced with the upgraded aluminum ones, and the lower gasket set was replaced with the Felpro MS 98014 T. Fel-Pro outdid themselves with this gasket set, the job turned out fantastic and I am a tired but happy customer!

One of the weak points in early 2000's Buick Lesaber automobiles are the intake gaskets. If (or when) they become compromised, it not only affects engine performance, but loss of engine oil into the intake or outside spilling on the engine. I did not realize the gasket set was made by industry standard FelPro until they came in the mail. This company makes superior quality gaskets for nearly every make and model. The availability of a "kit" for doing the entire intake gasket job means that you will have new gaskets for the injector, as well as a tube of sealant for the main intake plenum and seal. In other words, this kit gives you assurance that you lack no gasket to remove and replace the intake plenum. It is an involved job, but low on the level of difficulty. It is a great deal, that will enable you to replace this area of weakness in the otherwise bulletproof Buick Lesaber.
