It took quite a few pages to read, before it started to get a so called page-turner. Zadie Smiths ability to create characters is amazing. Many of the critics say that this is story of humor; I would not approve that. It's tragedy and heartbreaking. In the end the protagonist looses everything.

This book was very disappointing. The plot goes no where, and the descriptions of sex were disgusting. Don’t buy this book, it’s a waste of money.

Zadie Smith is an adventurous writer who takes on different genres in her different works. If you have read other of Smith's works, you might be interested to venture into this one too.
