Three stars because it was the cutest fire umbrella we could find. I Purchased it thinking it would be very kid friendly, since I noticed the great little round balls that help ensure that eyes don’t get poked. Thus, two stars deducted because it pinches- I got pinched and then my son got pinched. I still struggle a little as an adult to get it up and down. I would like to be able to give him independence to operate it, as that is part of the excitement of having an umbrella when you are 3, but looks like I won’t be able to do that. That was a disappointment since this was a much anticipated prize. Honestly if it wasn’t mildly inconvenient to return it, I would probably do that and look for one that was a little safer for kids. I don’t seem to recall having this problem on our kidorable ladybug umbrella. If your child is a bit older it may be enough to just warn them to be careful not to pinch themselves.

This umbrella differs from the picture somewhat. Instead of a hook at the bottom it is a fire hydrant, and the ladder comes off the top of the umbrella making a 3D fin. My son loves it! We have had several umbrellas of this nature and they all get broken or bent. This seems stronger then the others so I'm hopeful it will hold up. If your kids are gentle it should be no problem. It makes a really nice deep cup shape which I like but it is a small 1 child only umbrella. You will not fit 2 under it. It's fairly easy to open and even easier to close. A plastic tab covers the part you push to close the umbrella. Usually this piece is a rather sharp metal that can hurt your finger somewhat to press on it. Not with this umbrella. The colors are nice and vibrant as pictured and the stitching seems good. I can not attest to the longevity of this product but out of the package I am impressed.

My son is two years old. He's a huge firefighter fan. He has the boots and rain jacket but wanted an umbrella. I found this one on Amazon and figured we'd try it. I have not had good luck with little kids umbrellas. I got it for him he opened and love for right away. He's very independent so I was worried it would not hold up to him opening it and closing it himself but it has. Very happy with it. If does ever break I will order this brand again cause this umbrellas has been great for my true boy.

There are no words to even explain theory this umbrella has brought my son. The company itself is great too! The first umbrella I received had a tear in it so it needed to be returned. I actually got the new umbrella before Amazon even got the ripped one back. My son uses the umbrella all the time and I have yet to see another child with the same one. He uses it to even play out in the rain. We have had it for a couple of years now and it still looks brand new. He couldn't be happier which makes life so much easier for me.

I love it and my 5 year old loves it except it's hard for him to open and close on his own - has pinched his fingers. Would have been better to have a more kid friendly button to open and close.

Great little umbrella. Only issue is that is a little difficult for my 5 year old to open and close on his own. He can do it, but it takes him a little bit

My 4 year old is firefighter obsessed. He loves this umbrella and made me put the sprinkler on outside so he could use it since the forecast didn't call for rain. :) It is bright and vibrant and I love the hydrant on the handle. It's a perfect size for him and looks adorable with his fire boots! My favorite part of this umbrella is the little piece of plastic over the snap to open and close it so no more pinched fingers! GREAT feature!

Super cute, but my boys (yes, I bought 2!) spent the first 15 minutes messing with the latter on the top and trying to get the umbrella up and down and "clicking" into open position. I would suggest buying in-person in a local store that would let you try it out; maybe not for the younger-than-4 set.

It’s super cute but it arrived bent. My hubby was able to bend it back.

So ein toller Regenschirm. ...ist zwar teuer, weil mein Sohn mit 5 noch nicht so gut damit aufpassen kann, aber es lohnt sich trotzdem. ...Mein Sohn lauft damit ganz stolz durch die Gegend :-)Lieferung schnell, bin zufrieden.Qualität sehr gut. ...vorallem ist beim zu machen ein Plastikteil darüber, so das es am Finger nicht weh tun kann.Farblich und Motiv sehr schön...Die heraus stehende Leiter ist richtig witzig :-)Weiter zu empfehlen
