Not A Recipe Book
My mom loves watching her cooking show and wanted this book and the one that will be released in August. She assumed it would be a recipe book but it is not so she is disappointed. Hopefully the book that I preordered for her will be the recipe book she is looking for. We dont know about the content of the book because she didn't bother to read it.

I love her show and website and follow her on FB. Really enjoyed this book as it gives good recipes and helps with weight management instead of being a fad diet.

Author lacks knowledge of a whole foods plant based diet
Not what I expected. Recipes are not from a whole foods plant based diet. Dairy meat and eggs are horrible for health and not anti-inflammatory foods.

Amazing
I found her on a tv show urban vegetarian and LOVE everything about this book. If you want to start getting a more plant based diet this book hasTONS of ideas.

Very informative
I learned a lot by reading this book. This book has so.e recipes mostly vegetarian. It is more helpful in learning the whys and hows of healthy eating.

Would not recommend.
Not impressed, nothing spectacular about this book. We’ve made a few of the recipes already and have not really enjoyed any of them. You could get better more interesting recipes on Pinterest.

But was disappointed in the book
I am a fan of Desiree's cooking show. But was disappointed in the book. I was hoping for more recipes. A good resource for those starting out on major dietary changes.
