It's literally one of the greatest thing ever. Not even joking.
Loving this filter media so far. I have allergies and own an old house that seems to have supernatural dust generating capabilities. Not to mention a cat and a filthy-ass dog :P So I made much better filters for my window air conditioners than the crappy screens they come with these days. Still have the screens in there but have this stuff cut to fit as a pre-filter I guess you would call it. Works beautifully. And made a nice pre-filter for my dehumidifier in the basement. I would highly recommend it for that. I am on my 3rd dehumidifier and they get really cruddy inside with the stock filter in a dusty basement. And yes, I clean the screen filters in my A/Cs and the dehumidifier regularly, but that doesn't change the fact that the sorry-excuse-for-a-filter screen material lets dust through. I started with the dehumidifier I have now (when it was new) using a slightly thinner fiberglass filter media for a pre-filter and the coils and everything else inside look spotless like brand new. Can only imagine this thicker polyester stuff will be even better as far as filtration and longevity. And I never liked the idea of fiberglass as filter media as fiberglass particles are no good to breathe.I even wrapped a piece around the bottom (air inlet) of my tower style Oreck XL. They have the ionizing collector cell but once again just a substandard crappy regular screen for a pre-filter. I no longer hear the cracking of dust particles occasionally getting sucked into it. And the collector cell can preserve itself for more fine particulates and pollutants.I know this may seem a little extreme to some people but after seeing the inside of these devices from a few years with stock filters it makes nothing but sense to me. I don't want an air conditioner or a dehumidifier that gets all scummy on the inside and eventually starts growing mold and bacteria. And aside from the vastly better indoor air quality... all that crud, reduced airflow, and improper warming of the coils makes them run less efficiently, can cause them to not drain properly, and even freeze up and destroy themselves. And new equipment costs me money! If only the scum bags responsible for manufacturing all of this sub standard, disposable, planned obsolescence trash would use filters like this to begin with it would seriously be a better world. So after tons of research I found this MERV 8 polyester stuff seemed to be the best thing going for these types of applications. And after receiving it I am very satisfied. I imagine the way it's made some slight variation in thickness or look of the polyester is normal, but quality is fairly consistent across the media. And really for the price you can't beat it. This roll should last me quite a few years. And I am absolutely just overjoyed that not only is my indoor air quality greatly improved but all my dust sucking appliances are now staying clean inside and not ruining themselves.#Winning!

Best AC filters you can buy
And it takes out the size guessing. It can be washed a few times before replacing. My AC guy is really highly recommending those over any pleated filter

Heat pump filter
I was so happy to have found this filter on Amazon. I have to cut it to size but it was very easy to cut with scissors. The thickness and dust protection are exactly the same as the filters that I was purchasing from the heating and cooling company that I bought my furnace from. It’s a great value

Great filter!
This filter material works great for our single-family home AC intake. We also have it the one small bedroom vent. Great value for money compared to the other pre-made filters which need to be changed regularly.

works great - better than what I put it in
I started using this to make my own filters for a Honeywell DR65A2000, which went through factory filters like water. Now I have extra, because the machine is broken (a few months out of warranty) - I now have a really expensive air cleaner. The unit had better airflow with this media, and the inside is still squeaky clean. I never liked the paper framed filters so close to the coil. I'm sure I'll find another use for it. If only I had found this sooner I could have saved up more of the filter replacement costs to buy a unit that actually worked right (mine always had problems). I cut the filter media with metal snips (worked well but overkill for filter media). Regular household scissors probably wouldn't work, but a high-quality pair of scissors most likely would. My roll wasn't perfectly even, but it's meant to be cut to fit anyway so it didn't matter.

Saves money
This is a great filter media with MERV 13. I like it because I can cut my own sizes. I use it in my furnace and in 3 electric air filter machines I have throughout my home. They work great and save a lot of money over buying precut filters. Always traps a lot of dust which is visible when you change the filter. They have a tacky substance on the orange side that helps trap more particles.
