CAMVATE Camera Quick Release Plate with 1/4" & 3/8" Threads Compatible with 577/501/ 504 Tripod(Red) - 2886

Overall satisfied with the CAMVATE Quick Release Plate. It does exactly what I expected it to do, which is hold my camera securely in place with the Arca-Swiss clamp I use for my setup. I honestly choose this 501 plate because of the color. I like the red. It stands out in my bag when I'm looking for it. The one thing I didn't realize is the bottom of the plate doesn't 100% work with my clamp. The safety pin that prevents the plate (and therefore the camera) from accidently sliding out on my clamp doesn't fit the plate. I had to make a small modification to the pin to make sure the plate is secure when I tighten my clamp. Works. Just have to remember not to tilt my ball head so the camera doesn't slide out inadvertently.

this plate is not only well made but a great color to have it stand out. Perfect for a back up.

Needed a replacement quick release plate for a Benro S4 head. This worked pretty well, but is just a tad more snug than I’d like. You still don’t need to force it, but it is a tight fit.Also works on a Gitzo G2380 head (and others I’m sure, these are what I have).The pattern on the bottom is a little different than my OEM Gitzo plate. The safety locks seem to work ok on these two models of heads, but YMMV.4 stars as I’d prefer full-length anti-skid rubber pads, and I wish the bottom of the 1/4-20 screw had a full sized head (the head is much smaller than the 3/8” screw that also comes with it).Overall I think this will work for my needs, and is a good cost savings over OEM replacement plates from Bogen/Manfrotto/Gitzo, etc.
