Was working, we were very happy, then it stopped crushing ice and working again then not working again. We discovered a small crack we hadn't noticed was there which is likely the problem. Will return.

I picked this up after our older one broke. It comes with a plastic, reusable cone (which we don't use), and two ice molds. This is a simple device: plug into the outlet, push down on the top while shaving, release when finished, and there's the ice. The shavings aren't always perfectly even, but are definitely satisfying my kids. And that's all I ask for the price.I was surprised how helpful the two ice molds are. Our other machine, while very similar, operated on ice cubes, which would sometimes slip and not always work well. By freezing water in the ice molds first, the quality of the shaving is better. Plus, the machine doesn't 'slip' as often.So far, we're more than satisfied.

Bought this for my daughter's birthday. She loves it! If you use the included molds or similar to make an "Ice Puck" it works great, quick and easy.However, it doesn't work with ice cubes as they move too much for them to shave.

Save yourself some money and get this machine over the expensive ones. Use the little dishes over putting ice in the machine, the ice is finer and the machine zips right through. You’ll want to get more dishes, because this is so much better than drinking sodas and it really cools you off. The dog loves the ice. The Hawaiian flavors are good, but Monin flavors are cheaper. Enjoy!

This is super easy to use but has a really small section for bringing the cone out. I wish they would have created a tiny bit more distance between the cone and ice shaver. However my kids absolutely love it. The 2 canisters for ice that it comes with are able to keep 4 kids satisfied with modest portions.
