Will this work without the remote control optio?

NO if the vehicle you are trying to put this on was not already a remote controlled vehicle this kit will not work. You will need the kit that includes the front motor for the front wheels this is how the "REMOTE" drives the vehicle by that front motor. I hope this answers your questions.

Are the high current wires larger than original wires (battery,motor,mother board supply) ? Also what is the amp rating of the thermal breaker?
