Best of Fons & Porter: Star Quilts-22 Stunning Designs for Every Décor, Season & Skill Level

I have been wanting to make star quilts for some time. This book is extremely easy to follow.

I actually was attracted to this book because by its colorful cover. I have made this cover quilt. The directions were a bit iffy but I bluffed my way around it. I had help from a friends who is an avid quilter and she too mentioned the instruction could have been more acurate. Although I got through it I will say it was a little frustrating. But I'm not quitter! :-) The quilt is beautiful.

It's a little uneven because the various star quilts are designed by a number of different quilters and so the quality and the directions are somewhat variable. But I'm delighted with it. In fact I had borrowed from the library first to see whether I wanted to buy it and I'm very glad I own it.

A lovely book of star quilts. Good directions and a CD included. Fons and Porter always have well written instructions and pictures.

This book is beautiful. I don't know which quilt I want to make first. It is well written and beautifully illustrated. There are also web links so that you can get additional information if you want to make a quilt that is larger or smaller than the one covered in the book. Worth every penny.

Love this book, best quilting book that i own,Broken down into easy instructions and clear patterns. and really helpful tips. it is for machine sewing but i can adapt the patterns for English paper piecing.

Lovely use of colour, which makes me step outside my usual colour box, love the twist on traditional patterns, and combinations

Fantastic book worth buying

The quilt on the front of this book is just stunning, and there are lots more inside. I made one of the blocks of this quilt in "quilt as you go" format and it worked a treat. A "Star" of a book.
