Same quality as higher priced brands with a lower cost!
I'm by no means a green tea matcha expert, but, I must say this green tea is on par with other brands I've paid more $ for in the past. I drink matcha pretty frequent, so, I would say I have a good enough taste bud to at least know what's a decent matcha.Recently, caught a low cost China green tea matcha on sale on Amazon, and, this is miles away better! Going to mix the rest of this in with it to make it taste like goodness!I have no complaints just glad I purchased the last tin can before it went out of stock! My only inquiry I can't explain is why brand says, "product of India". Maybe Amazon can get merchant to explain and put on this page. Inquiring minds want to know.

Tastes good
We add it to milk in the morning. It tastes good and a little goes a long way.

Was expecting a bit more but it's good
For some context I've been drinking matcha and sencha for years. This is my first experience with ceremonial grade though. I mainly use it for lattes or baking so the extra expense of ceremonial grade just didn't seem worth it. That being said I didn't grow up doing tea ceremonies and I'm not some sort of expert. I do know what to look for in matcha though.I did a side by side comparison of one of my best culinary grade matchas. In the included pictures I'm not too sure the differences of the two is noticeable. The Blue Tea ceremonial grade does have a bit more of a darker green color and I can tell it's just a bit more finely ground. The differences are pretty subtle after adding water too with the Blue Tea again being just a shade darker green.Where the Blue Tea ceremonial starts to edge out is in smell and taste. The Blue Tea does have more of that ooiki (cover aroma) to it. It's that seaweed smell, for lack of a better word, that you smell in Japanese shade grown Tea. It also has a much more earthy flavor and it's bitterness on the back of the palate is less pronounced. The mouth feel is a more rich feel as well.So I guess if you are mainly just drinking your matcha as is, with no sugar or milk then I would say go with the Blue Tea ceremonial. Once I made it into a latte a lot of the subtleties were then lost. The price on the Blue Tea ceremonial is really good as far as ceremonial goes. With that said, though, you can get about twice as much good culinary grade for the price.I don't know what I was expecting but I was expecting to think it would be a bigger difference. There are definite differences but they are subtle.

Inedible! Don’t buy it! Not worth it!
It was inedible and the smell was horrible. Got my money back thank God! You’re better off buying the $25 version that’s a smaller can but so worth the taste.

It's from India!
It's not even made in Japan so how could it be "Japanese ceremonial grade"? Its a nice amount of powder for the money, but the color is light green, which does not indicate that it is good quality, and is probably better for just mixing into things like desserts and stuff. Definitely not for purists. It's probably not even organic either. I can't believe I fell for another one of these Amazon cheap things. I hate being poor, but I hate people who misrepresent their products even more.

Similar to another brand I've tried
I'm new to drinking matcha and before I finished the first one, I was offered a second for my review. I was trying this out after reading some hype about matcha online and it being a superfood. I am always looking for something to give me some more energy after my thyroid stopped producing like it should. When I drink this, I think I get a small bit of energy but it isn't extreme enough to know that it isn't because of suggestion. I wouldn't compare this to an energy drink.Of the 2 brands I tested, I didn't really notice too much difference between the two. I do like this packaging better rather than one in a bag. I think dipping of the jar is a bit easier. The flavor sort of has a cut grass taste but most green drinks do to me. I prefer this mixed in a 'green' smoothie. I can't really tell I added this in my smoothie and it's more pleasant that way.Short term I haven't noticed too much difference than what most green drinks provide. Some state this may cause weight loss, but I haven't lost weight. For energy, I'd say it's better for endurance rather than the coffee sort of buzz.
