Lipper International Acacia Round Salad Servers, 13" Long, One Pair

I purchased a large wooden salad bowl and needed utensils to tools and serve salad. These are the right length to reach the bottom of the bowl and look like they came with my salad bowls. Easy to clean as well.

This was a gift so did not use myself.

These work great when having a salad

These salad servers were appealing to me because I knew that their angle would make them easier to use in a bowl. But the fork and spoon angles should be mirror images of teach other. As they are made, they are two ellipses that don't match up when they are held in your opposing hands. Stacked on top of each other (back of fork to front of spoon) they match. That's backwards for practical purposes. Otherwise a nice quality and weight.

These are really pretty to look at, and the colors in the wood will vary a bit (mine are a bit lighter). They are very lightweight and feel a bit cheap and tend to dry out a bit in the crevice on the spoon and fork sides, if you will... where the salad actually touches these. I handwashed these in the beginning but when they started to dry out and get a bit rough feeling, I just started tossing them in the dishwasher. If you're looking for a very heavy duty, smooth, high quality salad server, this is not it... but if you need something basic for everyday use, these are perfect.

As other customers have already reporter, the angle on the fork and spoon is wrong. It is designed to look pretty when they are packaged together but when trying to use them the angles make the spoon and fork perpendicular to each other making it very awkward to use.This is a relatively minor issue compared to the manufacturing quality of the utensils. After just a few month of use, the wood glue started breaking down (most likely due to the heat of the washing machine?) and both the spoon and fork came apart in separate strips of wood. The original finish of the wood never made it that long. The patina was gone after only 2 washes.If you want salad tossers that you can only hand wash in cold water and that require you to have two left hands, those are for you. Otherwise I would pass.

It took me a few tries to get used to the offset as at first, it almost seemed like they had sent me two right (or left) handed pieces---it was quite strange in the beginning to get used to holding them. However, after a very short introductory period, I found that I like these very much and the size and shape allows for sizable portions of salad to be picked and served. The bamboo washes easily and is a very attractive wood.

Pretty meh for the price. Don't put them in the dishwasher, they got permanent water spots after I did.

The perfect spoon and fork set. Constructed of very thick and sturdy oak wood. These are quite large for the great price. Easy to clean and very attractive. Great seller. Highly recommend shop.Pic: The set is in my serving bowl (bowl is 13 inches).

I found the handles to be too short. The wood is a little rough.

On the second use of these for mixing salad, one of the pieces of the fork broke off.
