It is described as Ceramic Non-Stick Interior Coated. It is free from containing any Teflon, PTFE’s and/or PFFOA’s. It can also be moved into the oven with temps not to exceed 360 Celsius or 680 Fahrenheit. You couldn’t do that if it had Teflon, PTFE’s and/or PFOA’s as that could be dangerous.

Question 2

why does it say that the non stick interior may not be used to pressure cook? Does that mean I cant use it for the pressure cooker function?

Can you use this on the stove top with gas?

Instant Brands does not recommend using ANY of inner pots on stove (I too have for better sear and reheating) EXCEPT newer inner pots with handles! Inner pots have an ATTACHED BASE that may warp causing them not to make appropriate contact with heating element. I use Ninja Foodi 6.5 qt for ceramic pot pressure cooking AND air frying. I was gifted Instant Pot 8qt first, before Ninja Foodi came out. Thought ceramic pot for larger capacity winter soups would be convenient. Since can’t use with Air Frying lid, pointless purchase for me.

Question 4

Is this for the slow cooker function? Does it conduct heat better?

I've used it for all functions. Works just as well for pressure cooking as well as slow cooking. Non-stick is great for clean up, either way.
