Works well, but case is a bit odd.
The transceiver worked fine on transmit and receive. The few extra $ to get an assembled version (with my old eyes and hands) was welcome. When it arrived, I was surprised to find that the plexiglass case still had the brown paper protective layer on it. To get it to look like the photos on Amazon, I'll have to take the case apart, peel off the paper and reassemble it. When it arrived, I noticed that a thin piece on one of slots on the top was broken, as shown in the second picture. This doesn't have any serious effect on the integrity of the case, but I wouldn't mind if the vendor sent me a replacement for that part.

I hear something
So I purchased this receiver for my nieghbor because the DIY kit purchase failed with not enough parts to complete the build. And thus far all we can hear is static but at least it’s something trying to work the bugs out possibly it’s our Antenna hookup. Not sure but my nieghbor is trying to get more out of it.
