This is a great invention and I am surprised there are any additional options out there of this sort. I purchased this to shorten a thick 5mm chain. It works well as a short term solution and gives me the flexibility to wear the chain at different lengths. The gold is a good match for the chain. And the embellishments are pretty although mostly hidden by my hair.

Works perfect, shortened my necklace with no issues, easy to use, stays clasped, very happy with purchase and it arrived quicker than expected.

I thought this was a little pricey. However, I really wanted to make a necklace I received for mother's Day into more of a choker. It's a very thin chain and has a very small clasp. I am pleasantly surprised that it not only did the job, but it looks like part of the necklace. It actually doesn't open easily at all. In fact, I have to have My husband do it, so I don't suspect I'll be losing it, which was definitely a concern

Genius product! Very easy to clip on to my very delicate gold chain that is too long. The soft gripper gently hold the chain to your desired length. Very simple to put on and remove. Impossible to harm your chain. Came with 2 replacement inner grips, so I expect this will last for years. It is so pretty, too.

This was a highly anticipated purchase because it would be perfect for my needs. Well, for 2 months all was well but now the clasp on the small one has broken - that is the piece I use most. Product looks great and functions well - until it breaks. Clearly not a well manufactured item. I am past the return window so this will in up in the trash. A waste of money. Update: the seller contacted me and is issuing a full refund. A very honorable response.

I did not know how hard it would be to find a nice shortener. They are very pretty and stay snug to keep the necklace in place.

These are heavier than the pendants so they keep ending up in the front.

Great quality and does the job perfectly. Someone noted to be careful with the little rubber piece - it could pop out but they give you a spare piece for each size so that's a nice bonus. I would have preferred it in gold as I don't tend to wear silver jewelry but it's not a deal breaker. I've shown you an image of it back to front so you can see how secure it is.
