GEMYSE Men's Mountain Waterproof Ski Snow Jacket Winter Windproof Rain Jacket

I don't own a heavy winter coat as I live in an area of the country where temperatures seldom dip below 40F/4C at night. I am about to embark on a trip where the forecast temperate will average -30F/-34C. A heavy winter coat was needed in short order, but as I will rarely use it, I didn't want to spend a significant amount of money on it. But I was having a hard time deciphering which coats might protect me in such extreme cold, so I purchased this coat as well as two others to try on. I am 6'/183 cm tall and weight 195 lbs/88.5 kg. I usually where a Large Tall in tops. Here is my quick analysis after trying each one on inside for five minutes each:GAMYSE Men's Mountain Waterproof Ski Snow Jacket Winter Windproof Rain Jacket. This one fit as expected, with good sleeve length and appropriate waist length. It is heavy, though not quite as heavy and as the JYG coat. It was as warm, if not a tad warmer than the FARVALUE. It has a snap at the bottom that somewhat secures the waist. It gave me the most confidence of these three coats that it would keep cold air out. The front, neck, and hood also snap shut. It covers the neck very well and the hood is an appropriate size. It has a chest pocket that is on the smaller size; my iPhone 11 just fits. So this is the one I took to Northern Alaska and I am so glad I did. Temperatues averaged -30F/-34C and one day I was outside for 90 minutes when the windchill was -50F/-45C. This coat kept the cold out! I was extremely impressed and grateful of how it performed. If it performs this well in this extreme cold, I am very confident it will perform extremely well in more common and moderate situations.FARVALUE Mens Winter Coats Thicken Puffer Jacket Warm Winter Parka Padded Outwear with Hood. A Large fit as expected, and even the sleeves were a good length for me. But the overall length of the coat was the shortest of all three I tried on. I definitely felt it was not long enough and that cold air would easily invade from the waist area. The fact it didn't really have anything on the bottom to secure it, only magnified that concern. It was the lightest of the three coats I tried on, and although not the softest felt I was wearing a cloud. Although this is not down-filled, it certainly felt that way. But the lack of heavy weight also left me concerned it might not be the best in blocking wind. It was toasty warm wearing inside, so if that was the only factor to consider, I would have gambled it would keep me warm. The chest pocket was plenty deep for most mobile telephones. The front, neck, and hood snapped shut, which was convenient. The hood seemed a normal size. But, alas, I returned this one.JYG Men's Winter Thicken Coat Warm Parka Puffer Jacket with Removable Hood - I followed the sizing chart that indicated I needed an XL. However, I was swimming in it! I reordered a size L. This was by far the softest of the coats I tried on. The sleeves fit me appropriately. It is heavy weight, but after wearing for five minutes inside, the least warm. The heavy weight suggested it would protect against wind. I'm sure it is plenty warm for most cold temperatures in the US, but I need the warmest coat I can get for my budget. The chest pocket was rather shallow. I don't ski so unsure if it would hold a ski ticket, but it would only hold a mobile telephone on the smaller side. The front of the jacket, neck, and hood all close with buttons, which is significantly less convenient that snaps. The hood is definitely oversized. The fake fur lining negatively impacted my ability to see. Though I understand it is removable and would have done so had I kept this coat. There is nothing to secure the waist, so I feared cold air would easily invade my core area. I returned it.

Wasn't expecting the bag for storage over summer. That was a nice touch and it seems water resistant, too. As for the coat, it fits perfectly and seems very warm. I'll have to wait for the snow this winter to see how it holds up to the wind and snow. But as of right now, very happy with this purchase! I also inspected stitching and it all seems to be in tact. :)I'd recommend!

The fit was just as was expected and the warmth and feel was very good. I haven't had the chance to try it in extreme cold yet, but I think it will stand up to the harsh environment that we sometimes get in the Illinois winters.

Despite the fact the color is a little off and looks more white than described, it's an amazing jacket keeps you very warm, so it's perfect for me in 25-30 degree temps with nothing but t-shirt on underneath. It's a little on the heavier side however.

I like everything about the coat, wind and water proof to ,oh ya buddy it nice!!!!!I'm sure I'd buy another.

I have only given this a test spin once as it hasn't been cold enough to wear it yet. But what I have found in the one tesst is that I think it will be warm enough for around here ( central British Columbia). seems to be well made but I would have liked to have some bigge inner pockets that zippered. There is one smaller pocket on the inside and sort of a mesh pouch that I wouldn't want to put too much in because you can't close it. It fits pretty well, I got a medium an I am about 180 and 5'7". Will possibly review again when it gets colder.

I like wearing it when working outside in the cold. I bought medium - I’m 5’ 10” and 175lbs. I think Im very close to having had to buy a large. Cant really layer with the medium but fits fine with longsleeves

My order took a lot longer than anticipated and was worried it would not come in time for ChristmasWhen it did finally come I was worried it would not fit my husband as came in a medium size box but it all worked out and he really likes it and says it is very warmI ordered it in a size 2X it will give him some room to layer if needed

The package came very light and I was worrying it might not keep my kid warm when he goes skiing. However, it turned out very warm and he said it is enough for skiing. I sometimes wear it walking dogs in very cold weather, too. It values for the money.

I did not expect much from the purchase because of the price but the quality is better than I thought it would be, warm is an understatement, with a sweater underneath it becomes kinda hot in a unbearable way, I'm from saskatchewan Canada so it can get minus -25 Celsius here, so far at -8 this jacket gets you hot, I got a medium and at my height and weight it's a decent fit to size, if you're looking for a loose fit, you should get one size up from what you normally wear, only my arms are ever slightly snugg and tight if I lift them up other wise it's nice and comfy and just a right fit, and I've tested by pouring water over the jacket, it drips right off, it's waterproof, overall I find alot of value in this jacket and like it alot compare to some of the more expensive jackets I have, and might buy one of these again with a different color, highly recommend it
