Simple enough for this simple human to install. Looks good and does the job well.
Really simple to put up. A couple of different-length pole sections allow you to make it longer or shorter in smaller increments - another product we bought only had pole sections all the same length, so had to decide between too short (not enough friction to stay upright) and too long (really hard to compress spring to get it in). Pole is a sort of rounded rectangular section rather than circular so it feels like it is more stable and stands slightly further forward from the corner without being in the way. The larger surface area at the top gives good friction without feeling it might shove itself through the plasterboard. Trays and hooks can be moved up or down after installation without removing the pole from the shower, so you can adjust it a bit once you start actually using it, or if you change your brands of shower products or buy a bigger bottle for example. Pole is aluminium (or at least appears to be to me, and is very light). Trays appear to be made from good quality stainless steel which is retaining its shine and has no signs of rust yet (unlike another product we bought a couple of weeks before this one). Nice feature is the tray with holes so you can stand a bottle upside down, either to use it this way all the time or at least to let the last contents drain towards the cap. No more overbalancing inverted bottles falling on your toes in the morning! Note: top part of pole is thinner than bottom so they telescope together. This does mean you can't mount the trays or hooks above a certain height as they must go on the lower part of the pole. We use the hooks to hang a back scrubbing brush on, so would have liked them higher. Not a major issue, very minor really, and the bottom pole is still tall enough.

Practical, tidy, easy to install
After seeing one of these in a friend's house I wanted one for myself. I resisted and put in a wishlist, watching out for any price drops or offers. I noticed it was on offer with a voucher discount so I grabbed one. It offers great space for a variety of toiletries and even hanging face-clothes etc. It was easy to assemble and my ceiling-to-floor measurement of 260cm meant that I needed all the parts. Instructions were easy to follow and I could put it together and put it in the shower on my own without any assistance. It braces itself effectively and while there is a little backwards and forwards play/movement in it, it is minimal and doesn't effect its usage. There are cheaper versions of this available, but my experience of Simplehuman products are that they are well designed, well thought through, robust, long lasting, and good quality. So I thought that the higher price would be worth it as it is likely to last much better than it's imitators. Certainly the one in my friend's house is going well even after a few years. I'm happy with my purchase.

Pricey but ...
... worth every penny. OK, perhaps it could be a little less costly but I bought it whilst it was on offer and, although still expensive it wasn't full price. You certainly get what you pay for though. I wanted a floor to ceiling shower caddy for our new wet room that didn't need fixing in place by drilling holes, could be moved easily if needed and generally work for us, not what others thought would work. I also wanted one that would be fully adjustable, sturdy and not rust after 6 months. Hubby is a wheelchair user so needed to be adjustable to suit his needs. This has now been in place and in use for nearly 3 months and we love it! Easy to put together and position and there's no sign of any water marking it in any way, shape or form ... and it's right next to the shower. There was one little hiccup. One of the welded joints on one of the baskets came apart on Christmas Eve and it wouldn't hold the hook accessory. On noticing that Amazon were showing the caddy as out of stock I contacted Simplehuman via their website and within 3 days they'd sent me a replacement basket. Not only is this item excellent quality but the customer service matches it. I'm now thinking that it will never need replacing which, if costed against replacing a cheaper item because of rusting/breakage, then perhaps it's not as expensive as it appears. Initial large layout but it will pay for itself over the years .... and yes, I did say years :0)

Not QUITE as good as I imagined... plus good update
UPDATE autumn 2017 - still fine, no rust, nothing broken after 4 years UPDATE - still fine, no rust, after 2 years... The fab reviews, and the fact that I didn't want to wreck our new shower with drill holes or rust, persuaded me to buy one of these. My opinions: A bit uglier than I imagined, slightly spoiling the look of the super-modern new shower cubicle, and quite bulky if you've only got a small, square or small, quadrant-shaped shower. But it's a necessary evil - you have to put your shower bottles, flannels etc SOMEwhere! One big drawback that no-one's mentioned: the wire baskets are made from quite thin and flexible wire. With the tray/shelf with the built-in soap dish, the dish strengthens the centre section of the tray and makes it rigid. It's the best of the 3 trays. But the other 2 trays sag when, say, 2 large bottles of Tresemme shampoo / conditioner are stored in one tray, so the sagging makes the 2 bottles (or whatever) slide and lean forward. Doesn't look right. Doesn't look vertical. (But I do have a bit of a thing about things being perfectly upright, perfectly horizontal or at exact right-angles. See my square watch review ;-) Others might not worry.) Also, the wide-ish spaced thin-ish wires mean that smallish bottles or bottles with thin 'footprints' won't stand up. or will fall through the gaps. You need chunky, broad-based bottles. Having said all that, I've never had a shower caddy before at any size, so I don't yet empathise with other reviewers' frustrations with rust and construction/product quality. And this certainly wasn't cheap. You add or subtract extension pieces using the guide leaflet to get the right height to match your shower height. I tend to take assembly instructions VERY literally, so I'm probably the only person on earth who struggled to work out which bits to use to fit my ceiling height, because the diagrams had been drawn inaccurately and a bit out of proportion/scale to each other, which confused me. But I'm not a daftie! Also, whatever you do, don't let the 'this way up' arrow sticker peel off - which it will when you start to slide the baskets onto the pole - until everything's assembled. Because if you decide to take everything apart and start again (guess who), you'll be all at sea. (Although if you peer inside closely or use a torch, you can see the spring that tells you when things are the right way up.) I didn't have any probs with the shelves scratching the matt silver main pole. Hope that helps. It's good, but no cigar ! AFTER A MONTH, THEN 2 MONTHS - still happy, and surprised my wife accepted it, but, again, as a necessary evil. She thought it slightly chunky and a bit obvious, but the sliding trays adjustable to her height are useful for the panoply of beauty collateral. (I just need a bar of soap and a bottle of shampoo and that's me fixed.) The price dropped by a tenner a short while after I bought it, annoyingly, but went back up to 'a ton' (I don't think I'm allowed to mention pricing) after a fortnight, so maybe keep tabs on the price if you can wait..

The only decent shower caddy about, definitely worth the money
I waited for several months to buy this unit, I just couldn't quite believe I needed to spend £100 to get what I wanted, but after some months I just couldn't find anything else to fit the bill. What swayed me in the end was the price dropped to £80 one day so I just ordered it. And I'm very glad I did. Now I've got it, knowing how good it is I'd have happily paid the £100 RRP. The stand has been in place for about 3 months and looks as perfect as the day I installed it. The materials look and feel good quality, I'm fairly confident this is a good grade of stainless steel for the baskets and aluminium for the upright is definitely good stuff. The three baskets give enough capacity for us as a family of 5. We have kiddies bubble bath, shampoo, top-to-toe, the wife's shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, my shampoo, bodywash, shaving items, and flannels. And there's still space for more. Plus even with big bottles the baskets are strong and don't flex much. They tilt forwards slightly but this is OK and just keeps the bottles near the front. There's good vertical height adjustment in the baskets too, so you can set them how you want. We have one near the bottom, then the other two for adult items quite a bit higher up. I did make one mistake, I didn't check the dimensions that this product was suitable for. It's really designed to go in a shower cubicle for floor to ceiling. It's minimum height is 1.8m. I wanted it to go on the edge of a bath to the ceiling. My gap was 1.75m which I only realised after it arrived! So what I did was take the top piece out which pushes into the main leg and compresses the spring, pulled the plastic bung out of the end and cut the top section down by about 100mm. When I'd done this I put the plastic bung back in and reinserted it to the top of the main leg and now it would compress nicely down to the size I required. That probably doesn't make much sense, but trust me, if you want it to fit in a gap of 1.7m, and you own a hacksaw, you can easily modify this to fit. Just fire me a question if you want more details!

Best shower caddy yet - worth every penny
I really struggled with the decision to buy this. Having spent a fortune on shower caddies over the years only to throw them away after a relatively short life due to rust or corrosion, I was a bit wary of buying yet another one, especially given the high price tag. I need not have worried. I've now had this for 9 months and it looks as good as new. It's in a shower cubicle so regularly exposed to water, rather than just steam. Assembly was very simple. You just decide what order you want the basket bits to be in and slide them onto the pole. There are various extension poles supplied depending on how tall you need this to be. It can be small (i.e to fit the space between the side of a bath and the ceiling), or taller to reach from a shower tray to the ceiling. It is spring loaded so once everything is in place you just have to squash it together a bit, put it in place and let it expand to stay put. I like the little "holes" one of the trays that allows you to balance shampoo bottles in upside-down to make the most of the dregs in the bottles. Also the razor holder is very handy. I've not made use of the toothbrush holders though - do people really clean their teeth in the shower? I will come back and update this further down the line but am fully expecting it to last a long while yet.

Shower Caddy tension pole and baskets
This is for the shower room, sick and tired of replacing rusty baskets that do not stay rust free. So after researching and taking the plunge ordered the tension shower caddy . Easy to construct, just read instructions , some patience is all that's needed ; straight forward to ensemble. Only had it in shower one day so time will tell. Meanwhile baskets are sturdy and slide on where you want and I bought two more as predominately female household and one male ! so lots and lots of smellies and lotion and potions. Lol. Looks stylish and elegant and very nice . It's transformed the shower. If it does what it says it does , and from what others who have reviewed this and wrote honest reflections . I would pay again for another one definitely. Company customer service very nice and gave 110% Service excellence. On opening after delivery my flannel or face cloth arm/ bar was broken hence the above comment re customer service , proof of purchase and photo of damage goods was required and they are sending out a replacement. 110% customer service . You pay a rather large some of money for a shower caddy and don't expect it to be broken but these things happen. So yes looks good , yes expensive but if it's rust free time will tell if I've wasted my money lol ... but everyone's reviews have made me take the plunge and so far after one day no regrets.

Love this shower caddy!
This was a little bit more money than some of the others I saw on Amazon but I am glad I chose it. It is worth the money. Easy to put together and sturdy. The holders can be moved to where a person wants them and lock well into place. Has a nice look to it as well. If you want a good shower caddy, this Simple Human brand is great! Definitely would recommend.

Good quality and durability
I bought this caddy to replace a cheaper one that ended up rusting and discoloured. A bit more money but it is very sturdy, easy to assemble and looks great after years of use. I know this because my friend has had one for years. If I don’t have to clean rust off my walk in anymore, it’s worth every penny.

Hochwertiges Duschregal
