The straps were broken on the kayak seat in the unit I bought, so there was no back support. This was a great replacement! I did have to spring for a hardware set ($10) to attach to, but it offers much improved support, performance, and comfort.

This seat has completely transformed the experience of using an older kayak of ours. What before was an uncomfortable journey, one I would always cut short due to the poorly designed seat, now is quite comfortable and I am able to paddle for hours. Firm, yet cushioned, easy adjustments and quick installation.

I have a pelican covert 120 kayak I got to tell you that it's the greatest thing since sliced bread it's like it was made for my kayak very easy to put on there are already spots for all the hardware to go I'll absolutely love it. I am a 58-year-old semi-retired carpenter after a tough week it's very hard to sit in the kayak for more than an hour or two but now I feel like I can go four or five with these is a very comfortable seat with great back support. I highly recommend the seat for pelican covert kayaks.

Great seat - replaced the shorter one that came with my Ocean Prowler 13, also fits my little 8-1/2 foot Ocean (both sit on top kayaks). Plenty of support. I usually paddle upstream until I am tired. After I got t his seat, it was tired in the arms, not the back. Solid construction, and the clasps appear to be quality, and will last. Only draw back is that the seat cushion is a little thin, so I put a stadium cushion underneath it.

These seats are exactly what we were looking for to make our 20+ year old kayaks more comfortable. They fit over our existing seats, and can be connected to the same harness system. Although they are not super thick and cushy, they are very comfortable. The seat is perfect and the back provides lots of support. They are easy to adjust, even when you're paddling. I am a small woman and my husband is a large man, and we both found the seats to be perfect. No more sore bottoms or back aches!

I bought this to replace my stock seat that came with my Field & Stream Eagle Talon. I love everything about this seat. The price was unbeatable, it sits high on the back for great sturdiness and support. It’s fairly comfortable. Even after being on water for a full 10 hours and up it’s still comfortable.

I bought this kayak seat for my son's kayak because he is super tall and complained of back aches when kayaking; the kayak seat that came with his kayak had little support. We have both used his kayak since installing the Brooklyn kayak seat and found it to be very comfortable. I used it kayaking the kickapoo river for 3 hours and was very comfortable and had no back pain afterwards. I like it so much that I plan to purchase one for my kayak.
