It's a good stocking stuffer and the pots and equipment were nice, but a couple of the seeds didn't sprout?We don't know if it was because of poor conditions or the seeds

Bought this for my husband as he was wanting to get into growing plants but knew very little about where to get started. This little set was perfect and came with everything he needed. The instructions were easy to follow and we've already had luck growing the herbs. Also they give you plenty of seeds so if it doesn't go well the first time around you have plenty more seeds to try again. Would highly recommend this kit for anyone that is wanting to get into gardening.

There was some confusion about how many peets This was supposed to include apparently its two which is enough but it shows four peets on the box or something. Anyways the company sent us extra peets which was nice. When I potted the plants all four pots cracked from the pressure of the peet and I didn’t pack it that tight. So cheap pots. Three of four seeds germinated. The fourth (the red one) had big seeds that were supposed to be filed down a little which I did but I guess it wasn’t enough or something. The three that germinated grew fast at first and one of them is growing at a noticeable rate whereas the other two seem to have stopped growing. I have a full spectrum lamp on them and I water them every day so I don’t know what the deal is. So three out of five stars. I’m planning on buying some new pots and more soil so know that you may have to commit to something like that if you want to purchase this. As a gift it really didn’t work because it’s a decent amount of work and worry that goes into it so it sat on the shelf for a month before I ended up doing it all myself and when it’s fully grown I’ll give them back.

I hope this herb garden does what it advertises. My DIL is a plant lover. She’s got a green thumb. Everything she plants grows magnificently. She uses lots of herbs. When I discovered this garden - it was a perfect gift as it contains all the items to start her garden. My children don’t live close by. They will call me when they sprout. I’m hoping in a few days. It is all very lovely. I know it will make her very happy to use her own self-grown herbs to her fabulous cooking. Fingers crossed❗️

I've bought several seed packs from the Home Grown brand, and they've all been pretty successful. This kit was offered as a gift with purchase bundle. I would probably not have ordered for myself otherwise as I already have pots and accessories at home. That being said, it would make a fantastic gift for someone just starting gardening or with limited space like an apartment or dorm. I was impressed at the overall quality and think its a good value. You get everything as pictured including seeds, pots with saucers, mini gardening tools and some very cute expanding dirt disks. I have had kits with these "just add water" dirt disks before but those included in this kit had to be the most fun part. The tiny 1" disks amazingly filled the entire pot to the brim. I think this part would really thrill smaller kids trying the kit. It was pretty fun watching them "grow." I just planted my seeds today so I can't speak to germination but overall, this kit would make a really nice gift.

The colorful trees did not germinate. I tried multiple times but no success. However the regular green colors trees sprouted and are doing well. I’m patiently waiting for them to grow bigger but I’m happy to have my baby bonsai.

Great absolutely great love it. My girlfriend and I will start the growing process in the spring.

Daughter in law loved this, she has always wanted to grow her own herbs.

Seeds are growing! I did use a grow house with light.
