The color purple is not purple. It is dark blue.
I needed purple for marking wiring schematics and this color is not even close to purple. The ink cartridge is labeled purple but the ink is not purple. You can't tell it from a blue line. Otherwise it is a great item if you need blue and they are out of blue refills.

Purple is mostly blue
These refills write smoothly out of the box, but if you're looking for a real purple ink, look further. These are a very slightly reddish blue.I haven't had this batch long enough to run them dry, but in the past the Montverde gels tend to dry out pretty quickly if left unused for a few months. I'd put them in pens that get used frequently.
