Not Thrilled!!
I don't know why they waisted all that time and money with the earlier versions. The paint pens with the BIG rounded felt tips that are HORRIBLE!! Use them ONCE and put them away. Use them again you have to pump the heck out of them. And because the tips dry up with paint etc when you push down on them to pump them, the tips get crushed and bent out of shape. That will NOT happen with these! These tips are more of a rubbery substance rather than that dreaded felt! The cap comes with this little "extension" (for the lack of a better word). It's like a cap ON the cap. Well that top cap has a hole in the center. So when you need to pump them to get the paint flowing, you insert the tip into the hole and the surrounding parts of this cap push on the barrel that the tip is in. So you can pump your pen without pushing down on the tip and ruining them! If I knew better of how to manufacture paint pens...I would have invented this LONG ago. I got my FIRST set of paint pens in elementary school. Already then...I couldn't understand why they would put that big fat tip on it! Anyway!! I am in L❤VE with these paint pens. I really don't see having to pump them anymore once you get them started. But we will see. I have swatched them all. They only took a few seconds to get primed and then WHAM!! It laid it down!!🤣 Each pen has a color name, although this is a basic set of colors. The colors also all have letters and numbers. The numbers skip around, so I am really hoping that these will take off and they will make more colors. These are even better then the new extra fine paint pens that have the plastic nib because those will skip, drip, and splatter if using them on a slightly rough surface. With these you can make thin lines all the way to fat. So it is of my opinion that just about all the others are a waist! These pens appear to be the exact same everything (except tip) as another bunch of paint pens I have. And those have awful tips. I have had them well over a year and about 80% of them are still in their plastic. So when these die off, I am going to either try and put these tips on the other pens. If not I will put the paint from them into this pen. It would be great if we could buy these tips. Had I known I would like them so much, I would have bought multiple sets. At this price how can you go wrong? Even if I bought more and dumped the paint just to put these tips on all my other pens...it would still be worth it. Because as it stands, I have about $100.00 worth of paint pens waisting in the drawer because I don't have the patience to play with that mess. And if they "blob" on a project..I'm gonna be MAD!!!****UPDATE**** I now own both sets. Regular and metallic. The above review of the non-metallic pens stands for these as well. The colors are bright and have a nice shine to them. ****TO BE FAIR**** I have to divulge the fact that these pens had been frozen solid before I used them. After YEARS of receiving my Amazon packages on my doorstep..(even long after Amazon lockers were installed on the other side of the neighborhood) they all of a sudden started leaving them in the lockers. Without consulting me. So I complained about it several times but they STILL do it. According to the driver I spoke with, the rental office at my apartment complex told Amazon to start delivering my packages to the locker. And my repeated complaints continue to go ignored. Clearly it never occurred to these "rocket scientists" that #1 there are probably thousands of products that Amazon sells that should NOT be left out to freeze or cook! #2 They should NEVER alter an order in any way on the say so of anyone other than the person who ordered and paid for it! So anyway, unfortunately these paints were left out in 10° with a wind chill of -1°. I kept them anyway because in order to get a new set I have to return these. I paid approximately $12.00 for them. I don't drive so I would have to pay a cab $20.00 to take me to the drop off location. I told them that it was THEIR mistake so they can come and get them. I was then informed that they would be deducting $8.95 shipping charges to pick them up!! Can you believe the nerve? There is a few things I feel I do need to mention. Many of them came with slight fraying of the tips already. And also many of the tips are out further then others. (See photos) I'm sorry the review is so long. But I felt it was only fair to mention that the pens had been frozen as it may effect the paint.

Tips a bit thick for controlled calligraphy. Color good.
I'd like the tips to be more like a flat chisel that you could angle to a point for calligraphy. These paint will and the flow was good, for all except white which dried up immediately. I wrote 2 words and then white was already dried out-as if empty. So, more quantity and variety of tips would be great. Thanks!

Love them
These markers are awesome. Being able to use the cap to load them and not mess up the tip is genius. I already bought more (other colors) and would definitely buy again.

It was ok
Sometimes the paint didn’t come out enough, and sometimes there would be too much paint. Guess I have to keep using it to learn to control the amount of paint I need.

Very useful, work well
I'm quite pleased with these. I used them for detailed work on wood cutouts and was happy with the feel, flow and results. I was skeptical they'd work when used again a few days later, but they worked fine. Great pens. I will definitely purchase again.

Acrylic pens
Worked for what I purchased them for. Not as thin lined as I would have liked but was able to use them. Nice colors

Love love love
Love love love brush pens! I’ve been trying to find an acrylic marker that will work on fine details and also be useful on wood forward burning art projects. He’s Marcus fit the bill they have a nice flow of paint so they are a bit hard to get going at first once you get the paint flowing it has a nice flow. Only had them a week or so but so far none of them have dried out or gotten sticky. Often times with these markers I find you can only use a few times before the marker and gets stuck in the paint no longer comes out. But so far they seem to work very well The hair on this project was done with the marker and it was waterproof because afterwards I could use watercolor and it didn’t smudge like a lot of other pens due.

Wonderful product
The brush tips are a little fragile but are still absolutely fantastic. I use them for backgrounds in my coloring books. I love them. Will likely order more.
