Amazing journal at a perfect size
I absolutely loved the A5 Scribbles That Matter journals, but was continually finding myself running out of space, so I bought an A4 Scribbles journal which I also loved but it turned out to be too big.So I was already excited when I heard about the B5 launch, it really is the Goldilocks size for me. It’s perfect, as it’s not as large as A4 and it’s bigger than A5, see my pictures for a comparison.I use a large variety of mediums in my bullet journal, pencils, pens, brush pens. I was impressed that my new staedtler pigment liner pens didn’t bleed as they are very inky. WHSmith brush pens also do not bleed either, and my favourite pens, the Papermate flair, which is awesome because I love them. There’s minimal ghosting, even with the large amount of stress I put my journal through (see last photo) and I never have to stick pages together.I’ve even used acrylic paint in both my A5 and B5 journals, and it copes so amazingly well, just minimal amount of ghosting and no bleeding due to the coating. Very impressive.Other journals of the same page thickness do not cope with paint, or fixative. In fact I used fixative in another branded bullet journal with pages of the same thickness and it bled straight through. If you absolutely hate ghosting and bleeding and think sticking pages together is annoying, this is the journal for you and you will not be disappointed.I much prefer the B5 size as I like to journal, and I will be using less pages overall to do that, so I’m excited about the fact my journal is going to last longer. My A5 would last me 4 months, so anything over that is a bonus. The dots in the journal are not too dark and not too light, and easy to colour over, which is perfect for me as I love to combine lots of art with writing, and it can cope with both very well. The Scribbles That Matter team have the best customer service on the internet too, and are really respondent to their customers, take ideas and comments from them and even make products based on feedback, and the customers then end up being their fans.

Brilliant for notetakers/sketchers/journallers!
Perfect for bullet journals! 2020 is my third year bullet journaling and I wanted a larger book, I had previously used a5.197 pages instead of 201 in a5 size but I dont see this as an issue. All the usual features of a scribbles that matter book that I love but two things have changed.First, little Mark's to show centre of page and the middle of each edge of dots. Small thing I know but very helpful for bullet journallers.Secondly, the paper seems different? Not in a bad way though! I like to watercolour in my journals and the paper seems to look as though it has a slightly rougher texture which I think will work with the paint better. These journals work well with all art media so depending on your preference, this may be of help. The ink used to print dots/page numbers seems slightly paler? Again, not a problem for me. I purchased the charcoal colourway.

The best dotted journal I’ve ever had
I’ve been using dotted journals now since 2017, and this is the first time I’ve not had anything negative to say about one.I had heard a lot of good things about this journal, but I didn’t realise just how good it was. The paper thickness is a lifesaver, there is no bleeding and ghosting has only happened when I’ve made a mistake and coloured over the same spot with two different felt tips, and even then it’s super faint.Yes, you can get dotted journals for cheaper, but the quality of Scribbles that Matter is so amazing that I wouldn’t think about getting any other journal in the future.

The best journal notebook on the market!
This is by far, the best journal notebook there is! I bought 3 different journals at the beginning of the year and every one had really thin paper and every pen bled thru. I was very hesitant at buying this one, but I am so glad I did! The pages are white and so thick that not one single pen I have used has bled thru! I use Sakura jelly pens, bic gelocity pens, felt tips, gel pens, glitter pens, metallic markers, paint pens, calligraphy ink, and NOTHING has gone thru to the other page!It has a hard cover and comes in a really handy little box, so it doesn’t get marked or scratched! It has 2 pen test pages at the back! 3 index pages and enough pages for a whole year of journaling [within reason ofcourse]. The only downside to this journal is they don’t do it in any other colour except black! All the other colours have thinner paper! A pink one would make this journal notebook, exceptional!I can’t recommend enough!!

Not very fountain pen friendly, but still great.
I bought this as my bullet journal for the beginning of 2021 as I wanted a bit more space than the ususal A5 notepads offer. Not many brands have B5 offerings and I'd previously heard good things about Scribbles that Matter, so I bought this in grey / blue. The book itself feels really satisfyingly chunky, as do the pages. The 160gsm paper is THICC, with many C's. Nothing bleeds through unless theres a horrible accident and your ink explodes from your pen (I know, this happened on my pen test pages, which are a great idea by the way), but with any fountain pen nib bigger than a western fine you get LOTS of feathering. The paper itself feels very uncoated, I think perhaps this is causing it to be super absorbant to the ink and this causing the feathering :( Its a shame, because I LOVE this notebook otherwise. So, TL;DR - 5 stars if you don't use fountain pens. 4 stars if you do, because feathering, but also because its a really nice big notbook.

BuJo Superstar!
I cannot recommend this journal enough! The standard is superb, from the stitching to the quality of paper and the fine detailing. I chose B5 size as it's the perfect one for me (the photo shows my old puppy chewed A5 for comparison) that bit larger. Who ever created this range did it from the heart, it is the finishing touches like the embossing and spine design, it lays flat from the get go. It includes a key as well as an index, numbered pages, a pen test page, pen loop, 2 book marks and the rear envelope. Great value as well, as you can tell I'm a fan!

Shocked by the quality!
I was so surprised with how high quality and beautiful this was. It came in a protective sleeve and it’s thick and feels expensive. Highly recommend.

The only journal you’ll ever need
The Starry Night and Pro 160gsm versions are officially my favorite journals. Nothing compares. Numbered pages, table of contents, thick high quality cover, smooth bleed-through-proof paper, they’re really perfect and everything you could ask for in a journal. As an added bonus, the white paper version is actually WHITE paper, not that cream colored garbage everyone is making now that makes your pen colors look off and all wrong. I’m never going back, I’ve been ruined to all other journals, and at this point I’m pretty sure I’ve tried all other journals.

Espectacular
