DECOMIL Mosaic Puzzle Box

Very Pleased. My son was very happy with his puzzle box. I bought this as a replacement for the one that was destroyed in a move that we had bought him in a move from Turkey. I would suggest that anyone buy this box. It is beautiful. Very prompt and fast.

Positives: Box is finished nicely. Puzzle takes some time to figure out. This cause some laughter on Christmas day as the recipients tried to figure out how to open the box. Has plenty of room for money or check giftsNegatives: The production of the box lacks quality control. I had to order and reorder to find boxes without flaws. Out of six boxes, I could only keep two that were not flawed. One was missing a piece of hardware, one had a piece gauged out of the design, one did not hold it's lock, and the last one had a panel come unglued. I returned four of them. For a box that cost almost $60.00, I expected better results than I got. Not to mention trying to get the gifts ready for Christmas!!

I got one of these about 20 years ago as a gift from my husband who was overseas in Turkey in the military and i have always loved it, my husband returned to Turkey a few years later and i had him buy another one for my sister for her birthday and they are the only two i have ever seen like them with the beatuiful carvings. My children fell in love with my mysterious box and as they got older i eventually showed them the secret to opening it after watching them try numerous times. I decided a long time ago both of my children would get their own magic puzzle box and that keeps them from fighting over mine, i bought my sons last year when he was 14 and it was his alltime fav gift. This one was ordered for my 13 year old daughter and its perfect right down to the beautiful intricate carving that suits a girl, this will be her favorite gift this year also and they will like me and my sister treaure them for years and years and evetually pass them down if they can't be found anymore. This one was about 20.00 more than i paid for the last one but because of the sentimental importance and value it will hold for my child i was just happy to find it

Purchased as a gift for my adult son. The mosaic work is beautiful but, there were multiple scratches & major damage to the finish. The workmanship constructing this box was horrible. A thinner, cheaper fabric couldn't have been used. The fabric doesn't cover the entire inside as shown. The top inside fabric is hard, as if saturated in glue & left to dry. Feels awful. Returning.

I received the box in good shape, but the carving design on the box was a symbol of an animal, not the design shown.Also, the box I originally owned had a secret space in bottom rear of the box that could hold letters or small thin journal, this one does not have that feature.Finally, once you lock the box there does not seem to be a way to replace the small piece of wood that hides the loak.The large box seems much smaller than my previous one.

I bought this as an anniversary present for my husband, read the reviews and decided to test it out to make sure it worked. I was really happy with the box and the neat ways to open, except our lock didn't work. I was pretty bummed about it, so I'm returning it and ordered a new one. Praying the next one isn't defective.

Bought as gift for my son, came without side piece of wood and and key. My parents brought one back from Turkey, so I'm very familuar with them.

I thought it would be beautiful scroll work like shown in the picture. I got this as a gift as a treasure hunt for my husband, his birthday is this weekend! I have no way to replace this product in time!
