I have a 2004 John Deere LX280. Although the nuts and bolts on the LX280 are all metric, this ball joint is described as 5/8". I was concerned that the 5/8" (which is a SAE measurement) female thread would not thread on. To my surprise, it threaded onto the shaft and the nut threaded on also. It fit just like the OEM.

Fit LX280
This was what I needed to repair the steering on my LX280. Fit perfectly. Keep in mind this is for the upper linkage, not the one between the two tires.

Does not work on GT235
Not sure if they sent the wrong piece or what, but the hole that screws onto the drag link is a few sizes to big. And since I had to open the package to find out I doubt I can return it. Save your money, go OEM or order a complete drag link assembly of you want to go aftermarket
