The chickens like it and small songbirds can't eat it.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The chickens grew to be more than 2 feet tall on this, some dried maggots, and any bugs they found in the backyard... huge birds. They were fed this for 3 months. Each sack only lasted the 5 birds a month.

Did not eat unless cornmeal was added
They didn’t touch the food in the beginning and I had to just give them cornmeal because they wouldn’t eat. I tried adding some cornmeal to it and mixing and then they ate it. There is nothing special about it other than it being organic. My chicks ate it after some troubleshooting and it feeds them nicely.

New to the chicken game and this got me going
New to the chicken game and this got me going. Picture this, I put a few eggs in an incubator and didn't expect much. One day as I was heading out to work, I hear chirping. I'm looking around wondering how a bird got into my kitchen, then it hit me. Chicken must have hatched. Sure enough, there was a chicken, Adama, I named her. I had no clue what to do. Quick phone calls gave me some guidance. Ordered this for the little chick, same day delivery. Adama and I were on our way to a beautiful relationship. Great ingredients, fresh and digestible.

Short answer do not buy it. It smells gross
Honestly, short answer no, do not buy it. It is very little for the amount of money you’re paying. It smelled very gross. It almost smelled like old. I don’t wanna say moldy, but it smelled not great. Honestly, my chicken did not like the texture. My chicken was picking like she would eat some of it and some of it, she would not eat so Honestly, it was not good. You can find better feeds with less money.
