This thing is QUIET
Its a drill, it does what you expect it to pretty well. Keep it well fed with air and it has no issues spinning a 3/4" twist drill through steel plate or running larger hole saws. Makes enough torque that if the bit grabs, youre going to feel it in your wrists, so make sure to use the foregrip if you like your hands attached. Incredibly quiet for an air tool, its not silent by any means, but doesnt have the same loud, ear-piercing screech that other air tools are plagued with, Aircat does a fantastic job at keeping the noise downI did replace the chuck on mine pretty soon after getting it. The included keyed chuck works just fine, but theres not really much reason to not use a keyless chuck these days. A half-decent jacobs chuck will grab a drill shank just fine, especially the 3 flat shanks

Quiet Drill
Great torque, and quiet. Real quality product that works like it's supposed to.

Better price than SnapOn and just as good power.
Awesome product. Aircat has always provided enough power and reliability to get job done at a great value.

I have an Aircat 1/4' drive ratchet and loved it, so when I needed a heavy duty reversible drill motor with a large capacity chuck, it was an obvious choice. High in torque, low in weight and noise. They make great tools in my opinion, and I work on commercial aircraft for Southwest Airlines, so I speak from experience. I wish I could get Aircat to work out an employee program with SWA.

Dead after 2 weeks.
Dead after using it at work for 2 weeks. I can hold the chuck in one hand and pull the trigger and hear the motor spin. Can't drill without getting stopped. Has no torque. Used to drill through 1/2 - 3/4" steel chassis making holes 11/16 or 13/16. Pilot, drill, ream to enlarge the holes. Obviously can't handle heavy work. If you need a drill for super heavy duty this isn't it.

Work's Great
Works Great, Low noise as stated and great torque as stated no problems yet. Used for machine building, used for 1/2" hole saw in metal and 3/4 holes. Great Price, Wish I would have bought it sooner.

Very Quiet Garbage
Context, I'm a heavy diesel mechanic. I wanted a backup in case something happens to my SnapOn 1/2 Air Drill.I oil my tools daily, use cutting/drilling oil if I'm resizing holes. Take great care of my tools.Out of the box, the AirCat 1/2 drill felt great in my hand, the side handle is cheap feeling but very well made. It is very quiet, didn't feel I needed ear pro.BUT, this air drill is EXTREMELY under powered. It has absolutely NO sack. I pictured the 3 reamers, i used with the drill. Fought me every step of the way. The reamers were oiled.Because the #1 reason 1/2 drills were made, was to resize and ream holes. This drill lacks slot.2 stars, because it is quiet, but it's garbage that looks nice.

comfortable grip, light weight
I bought the 90 degree sander first and liked the low noise and good performance. I thought I would give the 1/2 drill a chance. The price was very good and it's quiet. I haven't used it alot as of this writting, but for what I needed it for it has come through. I use this in the machine building industry and I have used it to tap plates. M10, M8, M6 & M5 taps. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is because I think the chuck could be a little better quality.
