Great value for a well-designed, attractive, reasonably solid cabinet. priced, spacious.
I was looking for a wooden under-desk cabinet with drawers. Solid wood options turned out to be crazy expensive ($300 at a minimum). This plastic-laminate-covered particleboard cabinet for around $95 was a great option. As other reviews have noted, the construction does take a couple of hours. I disagree with the comments about the instructions being confusing. I found the graphics-based guidance to be extremely clear. The parts are all labeled with stickers that match the drawings. All the hardware comes in labeled plastic bags (with extras of each type of screw, dowel, etc., in case you drop one and can't find it, as always happens). Once again, the instructions clearly label which type of hardware, and how many of each, to use in each step. I suspect the folks who had trouble with assembly were in a rush. I covered a table with a couple of towels to protect it and the cabinet parts, and laid all the pieces out in numerical order. That let me sit up during the process. If I'd done it on the floor, bending over for a hour or more would have been a backbreaker! Make sure you use a properly sized screwdriver. I used an electric drill with a screw bit, which speeded things up. The kit included a small, cheap screwdriver, that I think would have resulted in some stripped screwheads and a sore wrist. I was careful to screw things slowly and had absolutely no problems with the particleboard or fasteners. The finished product is very sturdy. Everything lined up perfectly.

Higher level of difficulty for assembly, a few quality issues
Okay I admit it, this thing was a bit of a beast to put together, there were a few things that weren't labeled clearly enough. For example the metal draw slides have their numbers and letters imprinted into the metal and then it is painted over so that can take a while for you to find out which piece is which. Not impossible though and they are marked once you figure that out.The instruction manual I'd say is a good 7/10, only slightly confusing on assembly overall. There are a few photos that are added of how not to do something and they aren't as clearly marked or referenced as such, I would have liked or thought a bigger picture of what to do right would be of better help.Beyond a few assembly hangups the unit itself is pretty darn sturdy once fully assembled the sides are strong and meet up well and the draw slides work perfect. There are a few just plain bad parts to this, the drawer bottoms are made of that thick cardboard instead of being any type of solid wood at all. Along with that yours will probably like mine already be pretty warped even upon opening the box and this will make inserting them in their tracks doubly difficult. Also you can forget about putting too much weight in any of the draws, without some type of re-enforcement done to them they are going to be pretty flimsy over all. Also the wheels on it are honestly pretty much useless, they don't so much roll as they do just slide across your floor, I'm not happy about this as mine is on a wood floor, but I honestly don't move it much if at all so this is not a deal breaker for me personally but if you want it to roll, well don't expect it to very well. For the price the cheap wheels don't surprise me, the cardboard drawer bottoms though actually upset me, I probably shouldn't have expected them to be better but I was initially disappointed with those particular components. Because I wanted something that was wood instead of metal and this one was sized perfect for where I needed it to fit under the table it works nicely for my uses.

Great product, explanation of flaws said in other reviews.
Assembly did take a while, but it was really easy. I see reviews about it being uneven or doesnโt shut but mine came out perfect. My husband and I were putting it together and at the end the drawer didnโt go in all the way (I see this on another review), but it turns out on one side we screwed the rolling thing about an inch off, so it was our mistake. We moved it to correct spot and it worked fine. I love this and I want to get more now! Iโm sure the bad reviews are by people who didnโt do it right or are just too impatient. Although yes a few holes were missing where you need to put a screw. But we have a drill so it was fine, and it was in a spot where you really didnโt need one anyway (it was three screws to hold the wheel, but two held it fine, where the third you need to create a hole). Strong enough to hold your basic office supplies, papers, folders, etc. Wheels work fine on carpet. I hope this all makes sense!!

A Big Disappointment
This is the first time I came across so many problems with assembly. The instruction to me was adequate. Since I read most of the other reviews regarding this product, I made sure that will be addressed. There was hole alignment issue on the slider. The holes to mount the center caster was totally off. I drilled out the holes close to the edge of the panel as not to crack the piece when installing the screw. If you use the holes designated to mount the slider, you will not be able to make any adjustment, therefore you will have issues with the drawers not being able to close as it should. Instead, make another hole where there is a vertical oval opening on the slider. Only the front needs to change. One of the screw that came with the handle was just too short. The biggest problem was with the slider for the bottom drawer. It seemed to be binding and before I could even use it, the ball bearings fell out. I tried to install the bearing back, however many actually came out of the hole , and therefore the bearing will not stay in place. I was very disappointed with this product and contemplated returning it. However, it would be such a hassle to get it to the UPS store, therefore I tried replacing the bottom slider with a bottom mount roller slider that I got from Home Depot. That did the job perfectly. If Devaise or Amazon is reading this feedback, I hope they would compensate for this trouble.

Outstanding in every way!
This file cabinet checks all the boxes for excellence. It looks great, obviously, but it is of superb quality. I've assembled many furniture items over the years, and this one was absolutely perfect. The instruction manual was detailed, sequential, and clear. All parts and pieces were identified and referenced by that identifier in the manual. The hardware was in separate, individual sleeves. The hardware and holes all lined up perfectly...100%! That is extremely rare. There were zero parts and pieces missing, they included one or two extra screws, fasteners, etc. in each sleeve, another rarity. They even included a screwdriver. I give this piece of furniture my highest rating and recommendation.

Mixed feelings and a PITA to assemble
I have mixed feelings about this filing cabinet. About the only positive thing I can say about it is that it does its job once assembled. The parts themselves were mislabeled, cheap, and the instructions for assembly were vague, making putting the thing together beyond frustrating. I assembled it alone successfully, but I strongly recommend you embark upon this crusade of personal suffering with a friend if you know what's good for you.The wood is composite particle board which is basically compressed sawdust. It will NOT handle any abuse, so once it's together, don't attempt to take it apart because you're likely to strip the drilled holes and nothing will fit together anymore. The slides for the drawers are, naturally, made of the cheapest possible sheet steel you could expect to find. For the price, I kind of expected it, but they neither glide gracefully nor will they stand the test of time. I give this thing 3 years max if you fully load the draws with any substantial weight. While I'm on the subject, the instructions for putting the slides on the draws were, again, vague and the images are misleading. Make sure you put the slides flush on two sides against each drawer, wrapped around the bottom corners and the wheel facing the rear. If only one side of the slide is touching the drawer, you've done it wrong, and the drawers won't fit once you try to insert them into the cabinet. All in all, it works. It's frustrating as hell to put together, and I don't expect it to last for very long, but it works. I can't say I would recommend it for anyone. You get what you pay for. ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ

Very good office cabinet and love that extra caster
This cabinet goes very well with my existing white Melamine office furniture. I found it easy to assemble if you take your time. All parts fit together well. If you are not familiar with KD (knocked down) furniture there are some simple rules to follow. Do not use any kind of power tools. If you use a powered screwdriver to install the posts that join the sections you may strip out the holes. Instead, use firm downward pressure on a screwdriver while screwing in the posts. It will be easy. The kit includes extra fasteners in case you lose one. The instruction manual is clear, but make sure you identify all the parts. Some are similar, but not identical. There was only one confusing instruction on installing the back panel. It is a little tricky to install the bottom drawer on the rails. Take it slow. If you get anything wrong, you can always unscrew the part and do it over. My favorite feature of the cabinet is that the lower file drawer includes a caster that will prevent a fully-laden drawer from tipping over when opened.

IKEA level qualiity
I needed a printer stand and this was the right size. The wheeled base makes moving it around easy, but don't expect a high quality piece of furniture. Assembly was easy, but time consuming. It took approximately 1 hour, and I'm pretty handy and ran into no snags... there are just an awful lot of parts. If you're not handy, you should probably pass. The material is laminated particle board, which works, but don't get it wet or place it in a high humidity environment. There is no lock, so keep that in mind if security is a concern. Overall it meets my needs as a cheap office printer stand with some additional storage, but if I really needed a file cabinet I'd look for something else.

Sturdy & very portable
The item is a little darker in color than what is showing on Amazon if you are trying to match it with other furniture. The cabinet is very sturdy & well built & works well. I would certainly buy it again.
