I bought this body wash after body wash from a local store that smelled really great left my skin dry and itchy. This, to me, does not smell like coconut. To me, it is similar to what another reviewer wrote, a slightly waxy, benign, mild soap scent. It is very thick, like molasses almost, but suds well. Two pumps on a scrubby and you are good to go head to toe. Would buy again. Extra bonus is the EWG rating is good for this product without bad chemicals or hormone disruptors. So, safe and effective. I just wanted more coconut scent, but that's ok.

Let's face it, there are way too many choices out there for washing your body. Sure, you could use a bar of Zest and smell like your grandpa and there's nothing wrong with that... Unless you like dry, itchy skin. But hey, a bar of soap was good enough 200 years ago, so it should still be good today, right?Sure. And while you're at it, why not ride around on a penny-farthing and wear spats?But if you're not bound by tradition, you could do a heck of a lot worse than this body wash.This stuff is pretty great! It uses coconut water instead of boring old regular water! And it has coconut OIL in it.You ever stop to wonder how a coconut can have oil AND water? I tried to unravel this mystery but I could only find a few coconuts in Murcia before a 'king' came along on some weird 'quest' and took them. But I digress.Anyway, this stuff won't dry out your skin. That's pretty much the secret to looking young: moisture. And it's priced low enough to make it a great buy, but not so low that the company can't pay fair wages to and buy bicycles for the good people of Togo. So if all that fair trade, bicycle-charity stuff is important to you, you have ANOTHER reason to get this stuff.PROS:1. Won't dry out your skin2. Doesn't smell like artificial coconuts. I don't have complaints as it relates to the quality of the soap. The amount of chemicals, or in this case, lack of chemicals, makes this a worthwhile purchase. The large bottle allows us to get by for a few months so I don't run out of soap all the time because I "didn't remember to pick some more up at the store" or "...order more"So, high value size. Quality High - cleaner ingredients. As far as sensitive skin or moisturizing quality... I don't know. I don't feel that I have sensitive skin to begin with. This doesn't make my skin feel dry so that has to be a plus.I don't have hard or soft water so no comments from that perspective either...sorry.

With age, I have become more concerned with my health, and thanks to social media and the web, I found Bobby Parrish. His help is mostly with food, but also with things like supplements, soap, shampoo, body wash, makeup and etc. You get it. I have been using SebaMed body wash, shampoo and lotion for a few years. I really like the products for several reasons, so I was sad to see that the ratings (EWG skin deep) weren't as good as I would like. After seeing the scores, which really aren't terrible, but could be better, I decided to try some of the products that are considered safer, and this body wash by Alaffia is one of them. Sorry for all the info you weren't looking for. Here's my review. The high praise is real this time! I have definitely made purchases based on great reviews that I regretted buying. This body wash is not one I regret. The scent is mild, it lathers we'll, a little goes a long way, it rinses easily and doesn't dry out my skin. WIN! I will be using it for now on. It feels great knowing that I'm not using a product that containing ingredients that could be harmful to my wellbeing. Cheers

I've been using the Alaffia Everyday Coconut Body Wash for many years now, and continue to come back to it as the best I've found. While the ingredients are derived from coconut, they don't have any coconut scent, so I don't emerge from the shower smelling like a Mounds bar. Instead, it's just a clean scent that doesn't linger. Suds are good even in hard water, so you're sure you're actually getting clean. At the same time, it doesn't annoy my fairly dry and sensitive skin, so I can use it every day without any issues. I wouldn't recommend trying to use it to replace a shampoo, as it can be drying to the hair, but it's great as a general body product.

This product is nice. Feels great and rinses well.However, the delivery person lied about putting it in my mail box. It was left across the street on the porch of a vacant house.

Very dissapointed to see more ingredients on the bottle that have not been advertised online. Phenoxyethanol is not safe.
