Great toy
I bought this for my 5yo who likes to observe machinery and then either recreates movements or draw somethingsimilar. He loves it. We put this together and he was creating paper circles and was observing how gears are moving. Then he moved to those little "games." He spent some time over it. He goes back to this frequently. It's a great tool for exercising patience, problem solving and imagination. Highly recommend.

Great game
This is a great set and has multiple interesting games. My son didn't spend much time on drawing ornaments, but he loved the logical game where he had to put gears together to make the mechanism work. And the best thing, there was an explanation of how each gear works, so it wasn't just following the instructions, it was also learning.

Nice project
My daughter really enjoy art type projects. We played for over two hours with this and he was entranced the entire time. There were a few bits that required more strength and dexterity than she has.

Amazing idea!
the idea is great! Kit has 3 different games and they were enough for 3 days. My kid made a Drawing Machine herself and was very happy she made it work. The second day she was drawing the ornaments. There are couple of those, all very different and beautiful, she loved it. And the logic game we played together. Had a great family time!

Difficult to assemble and doesn't really work
This is a disappointing kit. The "educational comic" is lacking. It's very short and doesn't really teach anything, the only information we got from it was that gears are toothed wheels that interact with each other. No information on how or why gears are used in the real world. On to the projects in the kit. The directions are clear, my 7year old and 4 year old were building this together and they didn't need my help....with that part. They did need my help putting the actual pieces together. The plastic pegs that hold everything together are very very difficult to put in. It's also difficult to remove the sticker backings from the foam pieces without removing the adhesive along with it. Once assembled, it doesn't really work. With some modifications we got the drawing machine to mostly function, but the gears game is terrible. Even when assembled correctly, most the time the gears won't turn. It's frustrating and discouraging rather than fun and educational. We have lots of experience with these types of kits, little passports and kiwi crate both make far superior products.

FABULOUS drawing machine!
I stumbled across this as I was interested in STEM toys for my girls (8 and 10). I was very impressed with the construction of this, but kids do require parents help with it IMHO. After about a couple of hours construction, the results were amazing. This machine produces wonderful drawings that my kids loved.

Complicated with a lot of parts to assemble
The 48 page instructions is thorough but it also scared me. Lots and lots of little parts. Sone seemed like they could go together incorrectly. I haven’t tried to assemble it yet or maybe I never will. Good if you have a lot of time and patience.

Good for kids
The idea of the kit is great! There are 3 different activities you can do. We've been playing every evening for 3 days, and my daughter never got bored! She made a Drawing Machine by herself, and was very proud that everything's working!
