Assuming ADT is the biggest white-labeller of these design, hope they cause change
The m.2 to pcie risers or m.2 extenders of this design has an annoying problem which is the mpcie lines are soldered to the boards on both ends. There's like 12-24 lines in the flat cable meaning 24-48 solders aka points of failure. A single one can easily break on movement and ruin the device even if screwed to it. Thats what happened for me shown above. There is a better design(the green one) doing the rounds which have a nice slot fixing mechanism, is less prone to damage and cable be easily swappable. The green one did not fit in my constricted PC which is why I had to end up going for this finicky variant by ADT
