This tool makes it so much easier for my son to put on his elastics on his brackets for braces

Worked great very sturdy

I am a Dental Technician. I bought these to change my ligatures on my braces. These have excellent grip and locking mechanism. They do the job. They are durable and sterilize well.

This thing has made it so much easier to put my rubber bands on my brackets from top to bottom. I was having trouble hooking my rubber band on my far back bracket but this has made it 10x easier. I always carry this in my purse.

Lock was snagging and would not open

I tried to use the ligature gun and was stressing and sweating trying to put my elastics on. This made removing them AND placing them super easy.

The quality of manufacture of this tool is so poor that you can not release it with one hand. It is designed to engage and lock in one of 3 slots with one squeeze and then release the pressure and open up with another squeeze. Unfortunately it is so roughly made that 7 out of 10 times it fails to release and becomes stuck. This means that you must use two hands to release it. That is useless when you need the free hand to manipulate the rubber band in your mouth. Even a bit of oil did not help. I returned it for a refund.

I have only used it once so far but it does exactly what it is meant to do.
