installed and worked great except needed to buy more fittings for the application.

My fireplace is 10yrs old and has been acting a little crazy for the last few years and I felt it was time to replace it. Once I searched for 30” logs I was looking at $1200 plus ! So I felt like replacing the valve etc with an electric start would be the cheapest option. So I did my research and felt like this was the best option and unit. I purchased a durablow WiFi controller to use with Alexa also. So I had a daunting task but it came today and I jumped right in. There was a little metal work involved to make the pilot work (self tapping screws helped a lot). That was really the biggest problem once I had that figured out it went together pretty easily. I used my old remote control that has a thermostat control as the high limit switch so as long as it’s on and in “thermostat” mode I can tell Alexa to turn the fireplace on or off and it works perfectly! So it’s still thermostat controlled and I can make sure Alexa doesn’t get any ideas and turn it on while I’m away by simply turning it off with my remote for summer or even over nite if need be. Very nice unit , worked the first time I comected the switch wires and now I don’t loose gas from the pilot running all the time also! I also had to convert it from NG to propane and that went perfectly also. It’s fairly straight forward (make sure you change the small jet in the pilot light) it fell out when I opened the small package and I almost lost it across the floor. The kit I used for the conversion is the EILPK conversion kit. The pictures tells the tell. The remote I used is the Skytech 3301 programable remote control with timer/thermostat. Use it in place of the "high limit switch" in the provided instructions and it works perfectly in conjunction with the Durablow SH3001 millivolt valve wifi control switch.

Product works well and did what I needed to do, however, instructions were horrible. Many necessary details missing. Had to call technical support 3 times for assistance. They said they were working on the problem.Good item. May need help.

The media could not be loaded.  I finally got around to installing this kit and it works fantastic. Our 40 year old, vented, indoor, gas fireplace had a constant pilot light and also had a defective mercury flame sensor (which are hard to find). It was also a pain to light. The valve that comes with this kit was exactly the same dimensions as the old valve; even the screw holes were in the right place. It comes with everything needed. The electronics work flawlessly, making sure the pilot is started before opening the main burner valve. The first use takes a bit of time (< 1 min) to purge the air from the system then it's good to go. For someone with decent plumbing and low-voltage electrical experience, this kit is not difficult to install. The only slight negative is that it uses 2 D cells to power the system. Great product!

we are having some issues - can't figure out if it is the product or our desire to put on switch with a battery system - I would not get a battery system

Great basic ignition setup for a gas fireplace. I liked that it does not include the burner, I like my burner and appreciate the lower cost. The cover boxes that were included have a bit of insulation padding inside that add a little thermal protection, my previous box did not have this.

Didn’t work for us, we returned them.

Purchased two of these one worked for 1 week the other not at all
