I bought this to trickle charge my AGM car battery because...well...I like the bass (I knew I had enough bass only when my wife called it childish - yeah, I’m that guy). Use of my amp at high volume can drain the battery and stress the alternator. I bought this particular brand/model after doing my homework. This thing is PERFECT (a term I don’t use loosely) for a trickle charger. First things first, the packaging is amazing - almost excessive! How often do you see that these days?? Nice heavy tin box to use for storage. I love, LOVE the adapter to wire onto my battery and ground. Basically attach the adapter to your positive terminal and your chassis grounding (do not ground this from the battery, it’s a fire risk - just follow the negative wire off the battery to where it bolts to your car). Attach the negative eye there and you are ready to charge. I used a few zip ties to keep the extra wiring from moving around - now I just park in the garage, turn off the engine, pop the hood and plug the Battery Tender right into the adapter. I can sleep tight knowing this thing is safely charging my battery. By the next morning, it’s a solid green light (indicating a full charge) and I just unplug it from the adapter in my car, put the rubber cap back on the adapter (nice touch, btw), and tuck it down between the battery and the box that surrounds it (ymmv). The adapter sits safely and works perfectly next time I need a charge after I drove by you pounding my bass so hard it rattled YOUR windows (you’re welcome). I appreciate that it came with a set of alligator clips to use instead of bolting it on your car if that’s easier for you or if you are charging up someone else’s battery. It’s idiot proof, it works as promised, it’s safe, and it’s a quality product. If you need a trickle charger, buy this - you won’t be disappointed. And for those of you wondering if you have to remove the battery from the car to charge it, the answer is no. Simply attach the adapter per the directions and charge away while the battery is connected and the engine is off. Good to go by morning so I can pound bass all the way to and from work - annoying everyone around me.

Purchased this trickle charger to keep my Ultra Classic charged and ready to go when I'm ready to ride. Have been using it for 2 months now. The battery is the original from the factory several years old. Harleys' with security alarms and certain other accessories drain the battery when your not riding. This charger was easy to install and set up. It has worked like a champ and the pig tail attaching lead is readily accessible for easy attachment/detachment if you follow the set up instructions. Although the warranty appears to be outstanding per their literature, I have not had to use it as this product works as advertised. I have had four Harleys over the years and wish now I had purchased this product with the very 1st one.

I needed this because I have both Lithium Iron and AGM/Lead batteries to charge. This one is one of the few chargers for <$100 that does both. I like that it won't overcharge my batteries. The one thing is that you have to unplug it from the AC outlet when switching between Lithium and AGM and wait a few seconds. The bonus is the tin-can. I'm sure it's not easy to make, but it's very lunchbox like and can be easily reused. The alligator clips and other terminals are of high quality.

I went out to the car and the battery was dead. I attached this and like it says if the battery is below a certain charge it may not start. Thinking quickly I also have a lithium battery to jumper a car with, so I used that for 20 minutes to recharge the battery a bit. I then put this battery tender on and it worked! Since then I have left it on the convertible which I don’t drive in the winter, and the car starts every time!

Purchased this product for my truck while I was deployed from my homeport of Guam. Used on a 2010 Silverado 2500HD...standard truck battery. Truck was in a carport completely shaded on the front end of truck. Used for 4 months while in the Guam heat, no issues. Then, used again for 11 months 1 week straight....truck crank on first try when I returned home....no issues whatsoever. And no one cranked for me while I was away. So this was true 11 month test in the Guam heat. I also have a smaller battery tender I just used as well on my battery for my 1973 Corvette that was in storage. I removed the battery, placed in a garage with battery tender on battery for 3 straight years. When I returned 3 years later, placed the battery back into my Vette, and voula....cranked first try!~ I am a huge Battery Tender fan. Been using them for over ten years, but these last three years have been a true test against heat in Guam, and long term storage of a battery. Both scenarios were a 5 star result. HooYah!~

I use this to help keep the battery charged up on my Ski-doo and it works Great :)

It worked fine until today, sudden stop, no heat, no smille, no light, no sound. I have to contact the maker now !!!!

Works well, and it's easy to use. I've used it to keep the battery topped up on my Civic Sedan which is only used for very short occasional trips. I would recommend this product.

It's not as cheap as some of the other brand options out there, but you're getting a quality product for what you pay for. The easy-to-use front face lets you quickly switch between 6V or 12V, as well as a quick switch between a Standard battery or Lithium ION. Coming with the attachable leads, as well as the standard battery clamps, is great. The clamps are small and compact with great spring tension so there's no worry of them slipping off while charging. I don't have the unit mounted anywhere but it does have the option and the cords are of a decent length. My only suggestion is that it should come with a split set of attachable leads to allow for two batteries to be trickle charged at the same time. Wonderful product, would recommend to anyone.
