This is my second box that I've purchased but my first review. I used these to start fire outdoors and indoors on my wood chimney. What attracts me to this product is 2 fold. First the smell is great, if I could place these throughout my house I would but I'm sure my wife wouldn't allow. Honestly these have a great wood aroma of fresh cut wood. Second, the ease of use. When starting a either outdoors or indoors, I usually place 2 sticks directly underneath wood with about a half inch to inch of space. The sticks light fast and burn hot. Usually last a few minutes before they completely disappear. It is also not often that I have to use more than 2, usually 2 to 3 sticks will do the trick.

Loved the 2 lb package. The kindling was just the right size and started quickly and easily. But when I bought the 10 lb box, the kindling was significantly larger and the large thick pieces have been more difficult to light. They had a strange smell to them, as well. I bought another 2 lb pack, and was once again very pleased. Not sure why the box didn’t include the same kindling as the smaller package. It was somewhat misleading.

After you take them out of the simple cardboard box, they work the same as the fancy packaged product. And they work fine for starting a nice fire.

Just lit my first fire in the fireplace of my new house this morning. Used two of theses sticks. Lit up quickly. Did not need any crumpled paper or anything else, just a couple sticks. Threw a couple logs on top and voila!

Works even better than the previous brand I used that was no longer avail on Amazon. These sticks are thicker and do a better job of getting things going.

I’ve ordered these before and they’ve works fine. This box, won’t light! In the past I could use just three or four sticks, light the end and have a roaring fire in our wood stove. This time I’ve spent 1/2 hour lighting and re-lighting the kindling. I guess it’s time to try something else.
