I have a smaller 30" Masterbuilt propane smoker. I normally use chips in a cast iron pan on top of the burner for my average 2-6hrs cook. These bigger chunks are great for a longer smoke like 12hrs or more. They burn for a lot longer, saving me from having to keep adding chips, opening the door, and just generally make it so I can leave it alone for longer periods of time. Flavor is awesome. Brisket went for 14hrs total and had to add a few chunks to the pile maybe 4 or 5 times instead of every 30 min w/chips. I don't know if its worth $35 though. Seems pricey for a box of wood chunks, the trade-off being a time and attention savings over a long smoke. I guess to each their own..

I ordered apple chunks, with the description on Amazon stating about 10-12lbs. The box I got said mixed fruit wood and 8-10lbs. I used them anyway, as they seemed solid, dry, and clean. Meat turned out great, but very unhappy about the false advertising.

Great product, easy to use and good quality.

I've been using it constantly. Probably going to order a lot more very soon

So far I've smoked bratwurst, burgers, a chicken, and a pork loin over these and everything has been the better for it. I will definitely be making sure I always have these on hand.
